I haven't, but its on my list. The Riftwar is my favourite serious too, utterly brilliant. You might want to try the Empire series. Its set at the same time as the Riftwar but on the Tsurani homeworld of Kelewan and ties in nicely with Magician.

If you like the fantasy genre and enjoyed Feist, you may want to try Robin Hobb and Patrick Rothfuss, who are both fantastic writers!

I've read most of Hobbs, and particularly like the assassin series Not heard of Rothfuss though, I shall google them forthwith.

Recently read Brandon Sandersons 'Stormlight Archive' book 1. Highly recommended.

Second one came out earlier this year.

Just read the Maine Man by Tony Book.

Refreshing to read the story of a real
Man and Blue Legend (that is add odds with the current era of prima donnas)

700+ pages into The Stand by Steven King. What an immense book. Read it. Asap.

One of my favourite books of all time, absolutely fantastic read. However, I think it suffers from the same problem all Steven King books do. The endings are always a bit of a let down. Although it seems to be more of a problem on film rather than on paper.

'IT' is almost as good as The Stand. Well worth reading if you haven't already.

The Stand should warm you up for The Dark Tower series. I don't know how much King you've read but many of his books interlink and Captain trips and it's aftermath appear in this series too. Great seven books

I thought he got a bit up his own arse with the Dark Tower series.

I went right off it when he wrote himself into the books, and didn't bother reading any further
