What do you call the end slice of a loaf of bread?

I've always called it the crust and by far they are the best slices of bread from the whole loaf.

Heard some call it the heel?

It is called a knobby

What surrounds the loaf is A crust. The end is THE crust. I always make a beeline for the crust 'cos yer can spread semi-hard butter on it without it ripping to shreds.
