I personally think that we are our own worst enemy. We can best any side we come up against but our slack passing could be what catches us out.
Very hard to find the wind to run 70 yards in support of a team mate who may or may not have the ball when you get there, when you've just spent the previous 10 minutes chasing the ball from one sideline to another. The teams that will worry me this season on the counter are the ones with players that don't necessarily need the support - Hazard, Mane, Lukaku, Lamela, Sanchez and then obviously our Catalan and Bavarian friends.Swift counters with at least two to three oppo players might cause the biggest problems. Yesterday the Bournemouth counter didn't have the manpower. The guy who gave Otters a bit of a chasing in the first half didn't get any support.
I'm not worried about the passing, that will tighten up to a degree, especially from Sterling and Sané, who haven't really been asked to make it a part of their game before.I personally think that we are our own worst enemy. One note of caution to introduce in assessing our performances so far is that the teams we have beaten currently occupy the bottom four places plus the rags. I am not sure how much we have been tested so far and at times I think we have been a bit shaky defensively.
We do look good going forwards though.
Not too impressed by spurs so far bar the Stoke match and they've been hilariously poor, we've got the blue dippers a week later and they're actually in form and punching above their weight. Win those two games and we're flying.I was thinking the same. The best team we've played has been Borussia so the key game is Spurs as they are a step above in my opinion.

We haven't been behind in a game & we haven't played anyone of real quality.
However, we have played 4 bus parkers plus a German counter attacking team & Bournemouth. And looked like scoring ten vs 5 of them (a bit less creative v Sunderland). We also could have scored ten in Bucharest. We have played v aerial thugs & won, which is where I saw our biggest weakness. But we haven't played a top level grafting team like Liverpool or Spurs or a world class football team like Barca or Madrid.
We are right up there in quality, as a team though, with Barca etc imo. But Barca have more big game goal power up front & have been doing it for a long time.
Barca sometimes come completely unstuck & there must be a chance it will happen to us. But they usually come back soon enough & batter everyone for a spell again.
If we can do that when the wheels come off occasionally, the Prem has no chance of stopping us however they play imo. CL a different matter.
Diaagree borussia m'gladbach are a top team who play similar to Liverpool we just were to good.
I said as much the other week (ironically just before they lost to Burnley) that I feel the Dippers style will cause us the most problems than other teams I've seen so far this season. The way they destroyed Barca pre-season is more evidence of this.I think Liverpool would beat Borussia 8 times out of 10. (On their good day which they usually reserve for us).

Pep v Klopp stats are played 8 with 4 wins each so it's going to be an interesting encounter when they both meet again, what I have noticed though is that the Dippers have been playing high tempo footy but have been blowing out of their arses from 70mins +
