What Year Did You First Use Internet?

Around 97 i think. I remember my primary school having one computer which they called "The Internet Computer", and you had to book it if you wanted to use it

1996. Bought a 'tiny' computer and distinctly remember the salesman telling me that the 20GB hard drive was more storage than you could ever need!
Cable going into phone point through 3 rooms, whining noise and minutes to load a page. It actually seemed like some sort of black magic at the time. Now I complain that it takes 10 minutes to download an HD film or if I can't get 3G in a railway tunnel!!

funny thing is I got cds with with mp3s from 1996 and they are looking a bit yellow and old they said back then that cds would last forever and last longer than vinyl and tape

about 94/95 for me, remember using Gopher as a type of browser. I was using BBS and dial up early 90's

1994 for me - at work. Got my first home PC in early '97. Back in the days when the connection was slow and expensive so if you were researching something, it was cheaper to use a ream of paper to print all the info out and read it at your leisure than staying online long-enough to read it on screen.

From early/mid 90’s via school/collage/uni (left school in 94 and it was compulsory in Uni when I started in 96/7). However the internet was bobbins back then – lots of fan sites for geek stuff that I had little time for. It wasn’t until c97 that a mate with home dial up access showed me what was on there that you wouldn’t look at in the school library.
