Whatever happened to Niall Quinn?

He seemed very well balanced after leaving us with a huge chip on both shoulders. Something left him extremely bitter about the club.

Time (or maybe money) is a great healer.
Didn’t he get injured just before one of the world cups and he was just getting back to full fitness and city wouldn’t let him go

I'd rather remember him for his playing career with us rather than as a pundit.

He was a good player, he isn't a good pundit.

Whilst he was at City he was an asset - scored goals, saved penalties and was vocal while Alan Ball played for a draw against Liverpool in Ball's (successful) attempt to get us relegated

The subject of a great City song..........I don't mind him

I couldn’t find a recent thread on Niall Quinn so I thought I’d just jump on this one.

I am wondering what is behind the recent rehabilitation of Niall Quinn. A couple of weeks ago he was on the live match panel on the City Website and now we’re posting Happy Birthday wishes to him Facebook.

Since he left City I can’t remember ever hearing him say anything positive about the Club. I never really understood why he hates us so much but it is (was) clear that he does (did). Did something change that I missed. He’s been welcomed back like the Prodigal Son.
‘Stupendous, the greatest moment in Premier League football’

Seemed pro City for a while, complimentary but not a gushing fan boy.

When the media narrative changed to hostile & belittling, he surprisingly hadn't got the strength of personality to remain independent and balanced which was surprising, as he clearly an intelligent lad.

Seems to have reappeared in public recently following a lengthy absence.

Anti-City seems to be prerequisite to being a media pundit……

Dont really have an issue with Quinn.
His first sky commentary was for one of our games. He was gushing about city and the football we were playing and also balanced about the opposition. Seemed genuinely enthusiastic about commentating in general.
His next commentary game for us was like chalk and cheese. He'd obviously been told to tone it down by his sky paymasters for fear of upsetting the red shirt masses.
