What's the most trouble you've witnessed following City?

Well I am as soft as shite, but have witnessed quite a lot, though little recently I am glad to say.
Me and my mate ( both aged 14) got chased through moss side for about a mile ( felt like 10) by half a dozen rags after mick McCarthy equalised around 1985. Was in the kippax for the 5-1 and watched the North stand as a battlefield.

Leeds at home, when they helped us demolish platt lane. Never enjoyed going to Leeds, or Merseyside. I hate football violence.

Blackpool away when the roof got ripped down and used for missiles was a bit hairy. Oldham away when the ladder appeared was chaotic and Stoke away when it rained rocks was no fun at all.

That Oldham game was a proper dust up in their end. Seemed like we spent the first half charging into each other, stop for a fag, then charge again.

Blackpool was crazy after the pub (the manchester?) got bricked. Rioting down the golden mile.

Not sure if spurs or chelski but they had to fight all the way up to Piccadilly. R kid got of the bus to join in and i watched from the top deck. Every side street had lads waiting for them.

Queuing to get in when leeds crew broke out of the escort and steamed into us one night match in the 90's.

Chelsea in the north stand.

Think it was Everton where home fans dropped bricks on us from their stands as the cops escorted us into the ground. Then the park after was very very hairy.

Spurs on Claremont Road. Proper fight. No police around. Loads coming down from the Sherwood to join in. Never seen the Butchers so busy.(people trying to get out of the way)

No question. In watching City for 46 years the worst violence was the second leg of the League Cup semi at Anfield in 1981. Fought our way back to the coach to find it on its side with all the windows smashed in. Three people on our coach stabbed. Anyone who was there that night will never forget it. God knows what would have happened had we won!
That was a shocker and the F.A. Cup quarter final at Goodison wasn't much better.
Going to Liverpool/Everton in the 80's felt like you being sent off to war, mental times.
Ahh but dont forget, all Liverpool fans are now officially angels who never caused bother!!

JFT96 RIP

Newcaste away about 1974 city had about a thousand lads in the open gallowgate end with no segregation at all, just as the match kicked off all their nutters piled in and i remember they were all dressed the same donkey jackets and steel toe capped wellies and boots.
They completely surrounded us about two thousand of them and it kicked off good style they thought city were going to run and crap it they were wrong a well known city lad from them days called Shamus Bell RIP stood on a crash barrier and launched himself right into the middle of them absolute mayhem followed all the first half with the coppers doing nothing to stop it, half time city were kept on the terraces geordies allowed at the back to refuel on beer.
Second half was just as bad but city again held their own right to full time when we all came out city split in two coaches and train i was on the train lucky enoughas most of citys hard cases were on the train, it was one mass running brawl all the way to the station again city never took a backward step and even piled into the huge pub opposite the station and took on the geordies in there they were amazed as nobody ever went up there and did what city did that day.
When we finally got on the train most lads had blood on them or torn clothing iv never seen anything like that day before or since

My worst experience, which could have been a lot worse, was Liverpool away on 27 December 1975: no Xmas spirit whatsoever. War zone on the streets around Anfield before the game. Utter mayhem on the unsegregated Anfield Road end, not helped by the Scouse police who would hit anyone in range, regardless of whether they were guilty of actively causing trouble.

My friends and I were there for the football not to have a scrap and two of us decided to leave the ground just after half-time; the only way that we managed that was because one Scouser led us out saying we were his cousins; although some dick still head butted me as I walked by - obviously that brave soul was older and bigger than me. We did get out and then, whilst trying to catch a bus, were accosted by some other neanderthals who told us they were out for revenge because they'd been attacked by City suporters at Maine Road. We legged it but got split up, I was fortunate enough to end up geting offered a lift to the station by someone at a petrol station that I ran into; my friend ended up in hospital.

On the train home, we had to pull the blinds down and stay back from the windows - on police instructions - until we'd left Merseyside case the train was bricked.

A very courageous group of older Birmingham fans stole my scarf at Piccadilly station back in the 70's and I witnessed plenty of aggro at Leeds on various visits there.

That millwall mob was unreal, I turned a corner onto Lloyd St to be faced with a thousand 40 something cockneys all foaming at the mouth with about 6 coppers trying to contain them and about 15 city in hot pursuit, mental!

We was in town when we heard a rumour that Millwall had got off at Stockport to evade the police and run riot on Edgeley high street. We didnt believe it untl the police came into the Whitworth boozer and said you better leave 2000 Millwall are in a police escort ready to cause carnage, He wasn't wrong. It was just as bad afterwards on Wilmslow Road after the game when city fans ran riot and started looting all the shops.

Other than Stoke away when we got relagated the most trouble has been against United. When we beat them 3-1 last derby at Maine Road. We was in the Abbey pub a couple of hours later when a couple of hundred United tried storming the pub, luckily the police intercepted them as we wouldnt have stood a chance as most blues had already gone.
Somehow I got involved with walking with a few blues back from Old Trafford to Maine Road after us drawing 1-1 when Steve Howey scored. I didnt realise there was a planned meet up near the Sherwood with United. It was mayhem, i got chased across Whitworth Park with bricks flying at me, luckily i managed to jump into a cab.

The scariest was after us beating them 2-1 for the 50th anniversary of Muncih. We was in a minibus (ironically passing our own stadium) on the way back, when a transit van passed and threw a bucket of piss at our bus. The traffic lights turned red, which was the cue for a few city fans to run off the bus and head for the Transit. the back doors suddenly opened and a group of reds piled out with hammers and other tools. One crazy bloke was swinging a hammer and smacking the mini bus threatening anyone who had the balls to come near him. Glsd to get ou of that unscathed.

They came unstuck in the science park not long after that incident !

I was in the Abbey that night and yes the Science Park was like something out of Zulu, they were not expecting that!
