After reading about the aggro in Spain last week, I was wondering what the worst trouble was you've witnessed whilst following City? For me it would be Spurs away in the late 90's. Stopped in a pub near the ground for a quiet drink with a load from our coach. We were in there minding our own business when word must have got out that City were looking for trouble (which we weren't) and all hell broke loose.
A load of Spurs turned up and started by bricking the windows. My mate Gavin was unfortunately by the window at the time having a shandy and ended up having 10 stitches in his head and receiving a concusion for his troubles. The next thing we know and they're comiing through the doors in numbers and I remember one shouting ''Get out of our facking manor'' and them laying into everyone. Now there weren't many blues in there who were into fighting with quite a few older blokes and women there, but this didn't seem to bother these idiots who were hell bent on causing havoc. Tables and chairs were smashed and parts were used as weapons to hit people with and it became very frightening. After a minute or two more blues turned up and came in at which point these cowards decided they didn't want any more trouble. Unfortunately for the Spurs trouble is what they got and they got a right good shoeing including a few digs from the regular blues who had had enough by that point. After the police arrived we were escorted to the ground and the pub had been completely trashed. I seem to remember hearing afterwards that it was closed for about 4 days such was the damage.
Fortunately we've not had many days like that in my experience but that was definitely not a day for the faint hearted!
