Probably the Mena House Oberoi in Cairo. It’s Marriott now but I don’t think it was back then. Very opulent and overlooking the Pyramids which was nice.
Hope it was half-term. You could be put on the sex register for that if the kids were there!when i was in sales , the top so many salespeople won a trip every year, i won a trip every year, and all the hotels we stayed in were excellent, but one in particular stood out, it was a hotel on a golf course in marbella, that posh it had separate bedroom and lounge, not to mention the private balcony overlooking the golf course , not sure they've seen a pissed up knobhead stark bollock naked stood on the balcony wall with a sock covering his privates shouting at his colleges below before :)
Stayed there a few times, and a couple at the Intercontinental. All business trips: spent several months as a contractor with a major corporation who had a shared service centre in Prague and I had to spend several weeks out there over the course of 8 months.Yeah
Men’s room attendants were an absolute pain. I’m a no-talking, no eye-contact kind of FOC when I’m about to empty myself. I don’t need a smile and a friendly greeting from a total stranger. Not my scene. But the Oberois were all pretty splendid. When I worked in India I used to get to stay in the pretty luxurious hotels around New Delhi's diplomatic enclave. A bit offset by the slightly unnerving number of automatic weapon toting guards and military around the places.
The best thing about a posh Indian hotel was if you found yourself with a bad bug the bathrooms were as large and well appointed as asome normal hotel rooms so having to live in the bathroom for 3 days wasn't quite as bad as it would otherwise have been!
A few times. Always enjoyed staying there.Anyone stayed at the midland?
