Rudd street 3 years ago was a horrible place to live, now it's so much better, quieter, less violence and burglarys due to the culprits being evicted not only from their homes but from the area and being sent to prison, moston had its problems but I have seen first hand a vast improvement over the last two years and hopefully it will continue to improve even more, the opening of the police headquarters has definitely helped the area in my opinion.

Obviously places like Longsight, Cheetam Hill and Moss Side usually get a mention when thinking of some of Manchester's roughest areas but what areas are the roughest in the surrounding areas.

Having grew up in Rochdale some of the worst areas I seen where Bacup, Darnhill in Heywood, Newbold in Rochdale, Langley in Middleton and an area of Bury I can't remember the name of.

Have lived in Newbold in Rochdale it isn't that bad there and Darnhill has been fine for years since the knocked the high rise flats down, the area in Bury you might be thinking about is Dickie Bird and is still rough as fuck.

Spent all of my childhood in Baguley and Woodhouse park and it was brilliant.

Langley however was a shit tip full of aimless 6 fingered smackheads who'd rob you for the price of a spliff.

Dickiebird? Rough as a bears arse. The Springs on the way down towards Gigg Lane is rough too.

I live on the Springs it is ok, i have also done Brangy estate,Topping fold,Trees estate,Vicky up Whitefield and Dickie Bird with the latter being the worse.

I spent about equal parts of my life in Wythenshawe and Rochdale (Falinge) and always thought both we're fine. Lots of scrotes in Langley though and back o' the moss in Heywood has a Jeremy Kyle recruitment van there full time. Sholver in Oldham think they're the roughest but its really just full of pissheads and easy women.

I reckon it depends how you are. I've walked in boozers, looked out of place but fucking pissed it just by by smiling and having the craic. I tend to get along with most folk bar westdids.

Depends what you define as rough. North Manchester is rough in the sense that it is shite.
