where was you 10 years ago this sunday?

I remember it like it was yesterday, England got knocked out of the cricket world cup by India in the morning, stopped at my mates in Northwood. Walking down Wembley way with everyone singing the Terry Cook song, being amazed by how many fans Gillingham dug up (although when we eventually found a pub after the match not one of them would admit it, they were all West Ham fans with nothing better to do that day apparently), that awful feeling when their second went in, nearly dying when we equalised, nearly catching one of Ian Bishops boots, everyone coming out of the ground with blood pouring down their shins from the plastic seats in front of them, all the statues on the way to Leicester Square having City scarves on. What a day, what a night, and I still carry my stub around in my wallet. (Sad I know).

Busting for piss 2 nil down and decided to make a run for the pissers. Then slashed down might right leg trying to get it finishe off to run back into my seat to see the rest of the game. Can't remember much after then only drinkin' some pikey ale with some blue jocks back home on the coach. The rest is a blur but rolling out of the pub at the break of dawn suddenly springs to mind. Happy days!!

My lad was playing in a tournament in Urmston (Lees field) he was 7 it was a hot sunny day and lots of parents had their car doors open all around the field with the radios on full blast, the noise and atmosphere was brilliant, he remembers it to this day playing in a match surrounded by all that noise from the sidelines with parents cheering, shouting the score too each other (instead of arguing) and horns hooting.

There were plnty of Band Waggon jumpers at Wembly due to the ticket sales going to a phone lottery after 2 days.

at wembley feeling an old git at 36,thinking I;m too old to drink this much! Now I;m a really old git, thanks for reminding me.

I was walking down the middle of main st usa, at f00kin Disney in Florida!
Booked it over a year in advance, could not find anywhere to watch it...so ended up ringing my dad to find out, no answer for hours so assumed we'd either won and he was out on the piss, or he'd chucked himself off Stockport viaduct...Thankfully it wasn't that one.

On holiday in some shithole part of England that I can't remember. I would have been 10.

We had it on the radio in the car and I was close to tears, my mum kept telling me that there is always a chance, that there was time. I remember having a go at her saying she knows nothing about football and City. Things like that don't happen to us.

Fuck me, the old woman was right! I went mad when Dickov scored.
