Where was you on the day of the takeover?

Was off for a week or so, got up bright and early and had breakfast, checking on here and internet what was going on in regards to transfers.

Came through that Corluka had gone, was gutted, but then turned on skysports news and it was all over!!!

There was me my brother and dad sat there glued to the tv!!!

Went to my girlfriends for a bit with my head thinking about the football. Told her I had to go home. Sat there in-front of tv with cans and food just waiting for news. Went round my mates for a few more beers, anyhow it got to about ten o'clock and there wasn't a lot of info coming through.

Thought I'd ring up 'your on sky sports', got through, done a bit of rag baiting in my pissed up state. Told them being a blue was not about the winning it was part of the belonging, then just as I was about to go shouted 'CITY TILL WE FUCKING DIE', just as I got to my mates and heard them all cheer as I walked in!

Watched a re-run the next day and Geoff Shreeve's face was priceless!

Went down to the ground next day, got interviewed on sky sports and got picture took for the men!

One of my most memorable days ever!

Epic mate! Amazing how much it means to us as fans!! One of the happiest days in my City life besides being a mascott :)

On a side note, one of the best atmospheres for any City game I've been to was the Chelsea home match following the signing of Robinho. I'll never forget when he scored that Free Kick, I went absolutely mental!!

Yes for a moment there it felt like we might gatecrash our way styraight to the top. Happy Days.

I'd just got into work when my boss went 'i bet your happy aren't you'

He was referring to the fact that SWP had scored 2 on his debut against Sunderland. So anyway i get into work and see that Charlie had gone. Was a bit gutted. But then i read the start of Marco's thread but didn't really understand it nor believe it. Was wondering if we'd get anyone else in, when i looked at my phone. 3 missed calls plus a voice mail from my Dad. I'll never forget it, and i had it saved on my phone (unfortunately my phone ended up in the washer so i no longer have the msg). He was excitedly telling me that something was happening at City and it was all over the news that we we're the richest club in the world and we'd put in bids for Berbatov and Mario Gomez amongst others. His voice was trembling with excitement, to the point where i didn't realise something could make him this happy.

Still didn't quite believe it so i phoned him back and then spent the full day on the internet (my boss let me), reading various thread and checking news now.

I couldn't believe we had the cheek to bid for Berbatov. Anyway i got home and it probably got to about 6 o'clock and i was checking the Spanish online papers, just to see if our story had had any impact, when i saw the headline that Madrid had accepted an offer from us for Robinho. I ran down the stairs and told my Dad but nothing had been on SSN (typical). Anyway i went back on to Bluemoon and people posted how the Spanish press we're saying it's done deal. Then about 1 hour later it appeared on SSN, so i spent the next 2 or 3 hours glued to the screen. I'll never forget it. Probably my best day supporting City. When the deal went through i was dancing aroud the house. I showed my Dad various youtube videos of Robinho. It was a late night, and actually probably the best night of my life.

i was in prestwich fitting a/c in a house heard it on xfm nearly feel off my ladderjust couldn't believe it then my mate sumed it up TYPICAL CITY!!!!

was at funeral and sadness turned to joy when we realized what was happening, but imagine how i wsa feeling surounded by family of reds

I was sitting on a deck in Marlborough, Massachusetts, with my wife's parents and some friends of their family, trying to explain why I was being so rude by spending the entire time refreshing various sites on my iPhone as I tried to comprehend what was happening.
