Where were you on Sunday 30th May 1999 (Gillingham play off game?)

Was on a pre booked farmhouse self catering Family holiday on the Isle of Wight with the wife and 2 kids, both under Five.

Typical British weather wet, overcast and miserable, made my excuses to get away in the car to listen the game on the Radio, wife not very happy :0(

Parked up in a car park looking out over the English Channel in the rain!!!

When we went 2nil down, decided to cut my losses turned off the radio and drove back to Holiday accommodation to try and get back in the wife’s good books, don’t think, it worked??

So we all had a miserable evening together, cos of the football result!! :0(

But I did decide to stay up late that night to watch the highlights package on the TV, where upon I learnt the full truth about the final result of the game.

Obviously, after that the holiday got better :0)

But I have never been back to the Isle of Wight since!!! :0(

Wembley . Drove 5 of us down in my mates car . Parked at Stanmore and boarded the train to Wembley . Arrived at Wembley around 9am and straight to a offy . Stayed till the end as i was having that good a time pre match that forgot i was driving and was quite hung over by the end of the 90 minutes . Infact when Dickov scored the equaliser it took me a while to realised what had happened ! Anyway after the game we stayed around Wembley till 10pm while i sobered up , then caught the train back to stanmore . Remember getting back on the M1 which even at that time was at a near stand still with City coaches . Nearly every one from different parts of Wales .

At the proper Old Trafford watching Australia beat the West Indies in a World Cup cricket match.

Had a running commentary from another Blue sat behind me who had his portable radio tuned to the game at Wembley.

Much excitement as the cricket took second place from City’s first goal until after the penalties.

That’s City for you :0)

Haha, I was at Maximes as well it was Back to the Old Skool.

At 2-0 down I saw my arse and went outside to wash my car, when somebody rang me asking why I wasn’t watching the exciting match, I told her to f*** off til she said it was 2-2 so I ran back in to watch the rest of the game.
If it wasn’t for that game I would’ve missed the Aguero moment 13 years later.
The Hypnotic in your name would name would not have any relevance to Maximes, would it?

It was B2TOS. We went religiously on the last Saturday of every month for years.

If you mean JJ Moons, the big Wetherspoons in Wembley, that was some night in there. We ended up getting the tube down to Trafalgar Square and everyone was squirting each other with fire extinguishers. Then we were jumping in the fountains and singing City songs on the lions.
No mate, Moon Under the Water was in Leicester Square, we ended up in Trafalgar Square though.

There was a few Bolton fans around as well if I remember rightly.

Front row in line with ‘Dickov’s’ 18 yard line, getting dripped on by the Wembley roof.
Sat next to a guy with worst acne I’d ever seen, whom I then proceeded to kiss repeatedly throughout the afternoon.
Which only served to make even wetter…;-)

I was in the Olympic gallery, sat behind Noel Gallagher, Keith Allen and Goldie. Next to us, was Curley Watts. Free ticket, free, coach, free meal, free booze and then after the game, back at the Wembley Hilton, to cheer the team in!!!
