Who can replace Leroy Sane?

There it is from Pep himself. I think that Aouar is the priority. David has been the lynchpin on the left hand side. Since he's leaving I think Aouar will be that player, but bring a different dynamic in attack. I think Phil will play on the left more with Aouar in David's position.

Could mean we have no money after covid and defence needs adressing.

I dont agree that we have enough variety - Aouar, Foden Bernardo all very similar

And if Gabriel Jesus is to play on the left who plays centre forward when Sergio leaves at the end of next season?

In 2 seasons losing Sane and Sergio leaves us light upfront....Besides GJ we have no centre forwards or wingers - none of those mentioned are either....Mneche doesnt look anywhere near the grade for me and Braff aint even training with the first team squad on a regular basis (even before the pandemic)

I think he's talking more about this transfer window. We will probably look for forwards in future windows, but the priority right now, I believe is Aouar and maybe a CB. I disagree that Aouar is similar to Foden and Bernardo. First I think Phil and Bernardo are #10's or suited for the duo #8 roles. They are good in attack as to why they play on the wings on occasion. Aouar can play as a #8, but would also be good in a 2 man midfield or could eventually play in the #6 like Gundogan.
Bernardo and Phil are also left footed. Aouar is right footed. What I think will happen is Aouar cutting in more from the left and either shooting or crossing from that position using trickery. Bernardo played well in Kev's position when he was out, but that was on the right side of midfield. He'd make underlapping runs and receive the ball and basically do what he does on the right wing but on the inside. Since there is usually only 1 defender tracking him he can get past them using trickery, put in a cross or shoot. However, he can't do this on the left because he's left footed. He's not as effective and can't cut inside on his weaker foot and his cross is blocked off by the byline. So Aouar can do this on the left I feel.

I can only assume we'll play three at the back more often if we're not bringing in a direct Sane replacement. We could play a narrow front three (343), two strikers (352) or a single striker (3421) with two #10's and two holding midfielders.

Walker already plays like a third CB at times, it would give Cancelo more opportunities. It makes sense to the Aouar rumours if we're planning to go with 2/3/4 CM's at times, as well as giving Foden, Bernardo, Sterling and Mahrez more central roles too.

He has had a whole lot of time to have gabby on the left but has hardly done it,can't see him suddenly doing that

or maybe he could just be talking about in case of an emergency.

Raheem Sterling is "there" & never injured.

But if he gets injured at the wrong time, for example against Madrid at the Bernabeu, we have players we know we can rely on for those pressure situation:

Jesus
Foden
(his game against united playing on the wing was quiet, but just like Jesus at the Bernabeu, Foden can be trusted to work hard defensively & keep possession, at the minimum)

Will Almada join the 1st team or will be loaned ?
