I don't think 17/18 is right tbh Sane played a lot hence him winning the young player of the year and he has always played on the left.

Anyway that's beside the point, I still think he is a better winger on the right than the left but he is more effective at cutting in and shooting from the left.

Not sure why you mention the inverted wingers bit to me though as that was somebody else who said inverted wingers didn't suit our system, we have played inverted wingers since Mancini I'd say but Sane has always played left hand side for us and he is left footed.

Mahrez not played left wing for us, he may have switched in game for a spell but not started.

I think Sterling is a great player, so no bashing him from me?

I do cast an envious eye on him but i think he is staying there , Deulofeu has produced the best constant performances by a left winger this season, up until Christmas he was brilliant and very hard working, obviously he stood out as the rest of the team was awful
 
Not easy to find a finished left winger, but Raz definitely needs cover for workload as we have seen this season since late autumn.

Maybe it's easier to already invest in a Sergio successor and have Jesus as LW cover as well as forward mid.

Anyway, we need a quick solution in our CL situation before bigger transfers can be negotiated without negative impact.

Deulofeu is a great shout, very under rated player with lots of Premier league experience.
 
We've been without him so long why do we need a replacement ?
Bring the young lad through.
It's time we have these young lads a chance instead of keep buying players.
 
I suspect Jesus, Phil and Raz will feature wide, more than we are used to. Braaf could come into play as a back up but I think Gabby will play more on the left side, rather than only in rotation with Sergio.

For me it has shown not having a first team left winger, yes there are lots who can play there just not particularly well, we do not need just a first team left winger we need a back up as well, and i said that last year, which should be Braaf but was not?
