Who can't afford to go anymore?

I think that the club need to show more respect towards the older generation who have supported this club for many years and shown a great deal of loyalty throughout times where we have been in considerably worse circumstances than our current one.

Where is the reward for sticking by their club and the price of tickets reflecting their income? I think this is something which needs to be reviewed personally. I agree with the creator of this thread wholeheartedly.

I would happily pay more if it meant that we could accomodate pensioners and increase their ability to attend matches. I definitately empathise with this, especially considering the current financial climate.

i understand where you are coming from but you have to look at this as a business point of view from the club, personally i think they have given season cards away for the forthcoming season and have left roughly 10,000 seats, so the club want to make money in all other aspects i.e beer, food, club shop, etc and this is the price we have to pay to support a modern city and if an OAP can barley afford £11 or whatever it is are they gong to spend money at the ground??? just saying

My 77 year old Dad has well over £150 a week disposable income once he's paid his bills and taken his day to day living expenses into account. My neighbour who works six days a week to make ends meet probably has half of that a month.

You still want to subsidise my poor old pensioner Dad?

What happens next - means testing our s/c applicants and pricing their ticket accordingly?

I expected a 100,000 seater stadium at £10 a seat to be in the plan/project, if we want to be a world brand that rivals Barca and Madrid we need a stadium that matches that ambition. It's not just about what we do on the pitch it's also about the spectacle and who wouldn't want to watch this team for £10 a match. Hell make it £5 for OAP's and kids, the real money doesn't come from match tickets it comes from sponsorship, shirt sales and TV rights doesn't it. Times are tough right now for many people, we could become a new model for how premier league games are priced, it would be interesting to see how Arsenal and the rags deal with this pricing policy?

Brilliant, that's the future.

Very fortunate in one way or another, due to my disabilty. If I had to rely on a bog standard wage/salary,then me and and my son would be looking at a maximum of 10 home games.
Its a catch 22 situation,and I guess I`m not the only person,but I`m on full disability,and my son receives a FREE ST,as my carer.
Please,I`m not here to take the piss, just lucky that my illness determines my/our circumstances.

Some or the longer distances that need to be made are a problem for me. Manchester is two hours away from Whitby but I make every home game and away matches in the north of England, but the London away days have always been a problem, even when I was working. Just been laid off so that has put a definite stop travelling the distances.
