Who is our best centre back? last 30 years

1. Dave Watson. Simply massive and some header of the ball (remember his bullet header vs lpswich).

Remember it well.....

I believe Doyle and Watson were our most consistent, dominant centre back pairing that I can recall. I don't think we have since had two centre backs at the same time that would pick themselves each week on their performances. But as most have said, over 30 years ago now.

30 years excludes a lot of good centre halves , like Doyle , Watson , Booth in the last 30 years would go for Keith Curle was a brilliant footballing centre half , vastly underrated , think he got one England cap , which was a travesty , he would be worth a fortune in todays game

Kompany, by a country mile.

Between 2011 and 2013 he was the best centre back in world football.

Think Kompany is the man, although a shout out to Richard Dunne as player of the year several years running and keeping things relatively stable during some interesting squads (despite his propensity for the OG).

Somebody will be on here shortly to say how shit Richard Dunne was, but the man will for ever remain a legend in my eyes. PotY four years in a row tells you what most City supporters think of him.

In the last 30 years, he has to be one of the best we've had, along with Keith Curle, Sylvain Distin, Vincent Kompany and Joleon Lescott.

Gerard Wiekens, Colin Hendry and Andy Morrison also deserve a mention.
