I went to every single game that Bishop played for City, including all those heavy defeats where he never got a kick or won a tackle.(4-0 at Arsenal and 6-0 at Derby being painful reminders)
I'm not disputing that he was a skilful player, and I'm obviously in a small minority, but at that moment in time, City desperately needed Mark Ward's consistent endeavour.
Bishop went to West Ham, who lest we get too misty eyed, were soon relegated.

They were in the 2nd division when he went. Got promoted with them, relegated and promoted again.

I agree though that Ward was an important player for us. I still think Kendall through the baby out with the bathwater letting Bish go.
