Zinchenko was superb in the DM role last night. If Pep can somehow develop his defensive attributes then we have a jewel. Mad passing range as a midfielder.

I agree re: his passing range. The weight of his pass is always impressive as well. I think he’s hugely underrated by some city fans.

Given we are struggling to find a suitable DM - there’s no point in just throwing money away. Zinchenko clearly loves the club and wants to hang in there - who can blaim him. I think given the quality of our squad I think Pep knows he has a number of players Gundoghan, Delph, Danilo and Zinchenko busting a gut to get starts as Fernandinho’s understudy - may be best to let this play out - the squad seem settled and happy to compete for a starting birth - not getting Jorginho might ultimately be a blessing in disguise because a number of squad players now have something to play for.
