I am with those who believe we shouldn't go for someone at extortionate fees as a panic buy. Jorginho was unfortunate as he looked a perfect fit but we have enough quality to manage this season and develop maybe someone within going forward. I believe the days of panic buys are long gone and unless a unique opportunity presents itself we are ready to go for the season. This is the most relaxed I have seen Pep and he clearly prefers time on the training ground to endless friendlies to hone the players to play as he wants

the fact that Pep went for jorginho a fantastic passer but slow should make it obvious that we need a DM Fernandinho is old getting slower getting injuries and bans, he will probably miss half of next season, none of our present players are good enough to keep an unfit Fernandinho out of the side as proved last season, we need a back up there are plenty about, Ndombele, Kante, Gueye, Ndidi, Diawara, and Brozovic to name but a few some are unavailable but there must be more that our scouts have seen?

Finding quality players that will put put everything into their efforts for the club is not easy an easy task and if Zin has the potential to be a new Zab or Vinny then I really hope he makes the CM position his own over the next season
 
I think Jorginho was chased because we know we need a DM in the near future and he particularly was the kind of player Pep desired for the position. That doesn't mean we have to immediately sign any DM at any cost, but rather wait for the right player to emerge/become available.

I'd be happy going into next season with the squad as is, provided Pep feels the same.
