Who should be the next leader of the Tory party?

Just imagine a fully staffed NHS, no waiting lists, no ambulance waits, teachers and GPs not quitting in droves.
Welcome to the "Blair/ Brown Centre".

Don't you want that sort of "very little difference"?
In the perfect world of course I would.
In the real world the NHS will never have enough money who ever is in power.
It’s not only about money, it needs root and branch reform.
With an ageing population and advances in medical science more and more pressure is going to be applied on the NHS going forward.
Out of interest, do your morals allow
1)private treatment
2)tax breaks on private health insurance if it reduced waiting’s lists
3)NHS to pay for treatment in private hospitals to reduce waiting lists
4) those with the ability to pay should be made to pay for NHS treatment.
5)partial privatisation based on 2-4 if it reduced waiting lists and improved services.

i watched that this morning , car crash , why the idiots like her i dont know , would be good for labour though as she is so light on actual policies, it is funny

They liked Johnson Kaz - they clapped with delight as he ejected anyone with experience, knowledge and ability not only from the cabinet but from the party and they were replaced with new entrants that were wholly inadequate and this is the Johnson legacy that they have brought upon themselves - dumb, dumber, dumber, dumber and fucking barely functional dumber ( the names are interchangeable in that list ) - but they are so invested in a shit show they cannot stand back and take in a landscape that is the Tory Party - bare, barren, desolate and lifeless.

Ok how’s this one.
Labour go in to the next Election with Starmer and moderate policies so they have a genuine chance of winning.
Starmer then elects a Centre based Cabinet.
I think we can agree there are a lot of posters on here with left wing views who would feel uncomfortable with that.
What happens if the Cabinet then adopt moderate policies for example, on pay restraint and don’t allow inflation busting pay rises to allow catch up for what the workers thought they should have had under the Tories.
Where do the left go if they find there is very little change from when the Tories were in power and Labour say the wish list from the left is unaffordable without going in to debt.
A bit like what happened under Blair / Brown where policies were moderate.
Would you be prepared to accept there may be very little difference on a personal basis due to affordability or do you demand a shift in policies to the left to be funded by a rise in taxes for everyone and further borrowing to pay for an increase in current spending.

There is no way of pleasing everyone. However dividing everyone - making the whole thing about culture wars and failing to actually do the governing shite people would go for the inadequate Labour offering. At least there would be a good chance of a govt who can say - " ok - its not going to plan we see that - this is what we propose to do to fix things "

Not one who's approach is " I don't recognise what you are pointing to - oh that - yes I see what you mean but its not our fault - Oh yes we were fucking angry when we saw what was happening too - Err yes we were in charge when it was going wrong but details were with held from us.... Oh fuck look over there a shiny monster with big teeth coming to get us grrrr grrrr grrrrr - sorry I have to go....."

Not really answering the question.
I am aware of how things happen now, I was questioning whether your principles are put before attempts to reduce waiting times.
So you would rather patients go untreated than have patients who can afford to, make some sort of contribution.
That’s fine, but I don’t know how It helps the current predicament we are in

Well hopefully Labour will get a chance of how they will fix things with a properly costed manifesto at the next election.
The problem at the moment is they spend to much time criticising the Tories and not enough time saying how they will fix things if and when they get in to Office.
The concern for those on the left is the Labour Party will be too frightened of the Electorate to propose anything radical.
At least we knew what we would have got under a Corbyn Government and we were left to make a choice.
Both parties will move towards the Centre come election time and it will be down to who gets trusted the most.
