As long as the following attitudes haven't changed amongst the membership there's no chance of a sensible leader.

Sixty-one per cent would prefer to see “significant damage to the UK economy” and 63% would consider Scotland leaving the United Kingdom to be a price worth paying."

The party membership is largely in the Home Counties, largely white, largely older, and largely take the Mail, the Express, and the Telegraph. No idea how they form such attitudes…
