Who should be the next leader of the Tory party?

As long as the following attitudes haven't changed amongst the membership there's no chance of a sensible leader.
"According to a survey by YouGov, 54% of party members say they would rather see their own party destroyed than have Brexit not take place. Sixty-one per cent would prefer to see “significant damage to the UK economy” and 63% would consider Scotland leaving the United Kingdom to be a price worth paying."
The party membership is largely in the Home Counties, largely white, largely older, and largely take the Mail, the Express, and the Telegraph. No idea how they form such attitudes…

That's why one nation Tories are rarer than rocking horse shit in that steaming mess of angry gammons.

Jesus wept,is that real?

Selfish, deranged, deluded pricks.

From the Daily Mail:

And one Conservative MP said that if Suella Braverman and Steve Baker were allowed to stand 'we're just going to look like the wacky races', adding: 'As for Sajid [Javid], his resignation speech told you everything you needed to know: we all started wishing him well but within minutes he completely lost the room.' The MP also blasted Liz Truss as 'bad, mad and frankly dangerous to know.'

Going to be fun watching this unfold.

I'm in the higher tax bracket and would accept paying more if it means taxation is fairer. An extra 1% of tax would not change my life. Apply that across the board now on high earners, why not?

Genuine question how high would you be willing to let your tax rate go before getting a bit pissed off?
