I said the very same thing when Zabableta first came to us, and Yoonited said the same about Evra when he first joined Yoonited, him time to improve along with Kolarov they'll prove to be very good Full backs.

Good point on Evra. Vidic as well was truly woeful when he first came over here.

As others have said, it's not unusual for people to have a go on this forum before giving players a chance. Tevez in particular was deemed not good enough by many posters based on his first few weeks (Ireland should play instead etc etc); glad I said he was class and would come good, otherwise I'd feel a bit of a fool now.

I think Boateng will turn out to be a good defender for us. There are some aspects of his game that concern me I admit, but it's still early days in the grand scheme of things.

If he's still not playing great when he's been here as long as Jo, then we can justifiably give him some greif I think :)

his positioning is probably the worse i've seen from a RB ever at city, hes always nowhere near his man, has he ever blocked a cross? he doesn't even attempt to block it when the winger crosses it, his style and body language is so lazy to.

and once again like above, i'm all for one giving time to players, but with everygame hes getting no better, no progress, hes getting worse and its worrying.

If you didn't know better, you'd be forgiven for thinking this post was about Micah Richards.
