Why are we hated so much?

I am as sure as I can be that, had we done nothing differently than what we’ve done since the takeover, but won only 1 or 2 titles and a couple of cups, then fallen into the pack, this investigation wouldn’t be happening.
I mainly agree with that. But those titles we won from United (93:20) and the victims were seen in a very dim light by the powers that be. Who of course are fans off, or have financial interests in those clubs.
If found guilty I'm 100% sure we will lose those titles. Thereby confirming (in their eyes) the perceived benefits of FFP.

Because we aren't united, liverpool or arsenal, the darlings of the media.

That's only a small part of it. This country is institutionally racist and the terms state owned, human rights, sports washing and oil are deemed acceptable to define a person or organisation from the middle east, a ruse for saying brown skin, towel head etc. When hatred is allowed to be pedalled without question, it is accepted as the norm.

Even our uniquely funded state broadcaster allows these terms to be used on its comments forum without question. Any derisory or inflammatory comment against united, liverpool etc is removed in minutes. That said when their chief football writer Dan Roan (IAFC) states we are state owned is it any wonder these keyboard warriors have deflated their blow up dolls to spend more time masturbating over their keyboard reading and pedalling shite over City's demise.

We are hated because we are successful and hating us is the agenda, well driven by our gutter press!
Another belter ..,

People just hate the teams that are winners...Real Madrid for example. It brings out all the jealousy and bitterness against a team like City who have been bloody brilliant for years. Take it as a compliment and don't worry about it. It's interesting that United, even today, are by far the most hated team.

There’s the money thing but I honestly think a lot of it is because, to the old guard, you’re upstarts. You don’t know your place. You’re disrupting the stranglehold of Liverpool, Arsenal and the rags and they don’t like it. They think you bought your success. They were like that about Chelsea. They’ll be the same about Newcastle.

I'm as pissed off as probably most of us are with the witch hunt surrounding us at the moment, but despite all the vitriol in the media, I've never expeienced any animosity towards me on a personal level whilst attending away games.

That matters to me more than the jouvenile scribblings on social media by the majority that have never attended a game in their lives, but it is a fact of life, sadly, that despite what the club do to clear our name in the latest stitch up, the mud will stick.

We are seen as cheats, and it's something we'll just have to live with. Whatever evidence is provided that exonerate us from the latest charges, and I'm confident that will happen, in the minds of the many, we'll have bought the judges!

We can't escape the overall opinion we have fixed everything in our favour because of our owners wealth.

I remember last summer having a conversation with somebody about the transfer of Erling Haaland, and he was fixed in his opinion it was a dodgy deal because there was no way a striker of that ability could be bought for the price we paid.

When I pointed out it was the written cost of his release clause in his contract, he dismissed it by saying a deal had been done between City and Haarland before he moved to Germany and we were always going to get him on a good deal that didn't reflect the true value of him when he moved to City because we'd given a bung to Wolfsburg!

I can't say I was that bothered about his irrational train of thought, but it is indicative of the sort of stupidity we are facing, not only from fans of other clubs, but also from the ruling bodies of the game determined to find us guilty of breaking the rules despite evidence to the contrary being provided in a ruling court of arbitration that threw the charge sheet in the bin!

Forza City, Allez le Bleus, Come on you Blues, and fuck what the rest of the world think.

We should embrace the hatred from everyone. Accept that we aren't liked and use it as fuel during the games. We create a better atmosphere when we're angry. Everyone despises us. So what! Let's use that energy and flip the script! Embrace the hate.

Right through my life, and I am an FOC, I have generally felt that other clubs fans have a soft spot for us (rags excluded), I think due to some extent to our under achievement, partly due to generally being a team that tries to play football, and largely due to the loyalty of our fan base.

This never felt more so than after the qpr game in 2012, where after the match I was literally inundated with text messages from mates and colleagues from different places I’d lived and worked, fans of different teams. The general tone was that people were delighted that we had won the league, how we’d won it and who we won it over. Also there was a genuine appreciation of the fact they all knew I was a loyal fan of a likeable club, someone who had followed them home and away for decades, many of those decades empty of success and full of under achievement. I didn’t get the sense that anyone begrudged us our success.

Roll forward 10 and a half years and the feeling towards us is so different. Every premier league we have won has had the rags or dippers as runners up, teams that I reckon are generally disliked by all apart from their own (admittedly huge) fan bases. I would have thought that this would have enhanced our popularity, particularly when you think we have brought the likes of Kompany, Zaba, KDB, Yaya, Sergio, the Silvas, Haaland etc etc etc to the league, and all for fantastic prices. The Mancini, Pellegreni and Pep teams have all played beautiful football, and I am sure I’m not biased in saying that.

So why the fuck are we so widely unpopular, what have we done wrong?

Have we become horrible fans? I don’t think so. I get it that we aren’t as passionate as we once were, not alone in that. But I think we still have a fair bit of our typical City humour, and a large proportion of our fan base is still traditional.

Is it just plain jealousy? I think that may be part of it, but it wasn’t evident in the emotions expressed to me in 2012, so would winning another 5 premier league titles in 10 years cause that? Not sure it would.

Is it how our football club conducts itself? Well, our owners have invested millions in the area, have generally been low key and polite, we have CITC which remains best in class, we always treat people with respect and decency as far as I can see.

So I can only think it’s 10 years of constant digs at us, from all of the newspapers, from Sky, BBC (tv, radio and online), BT, Talk Shite etc. Why they do this is beyond me but can only because we are not united or liverpool, maybe also because we are Arab owned not USA owned. But I think 10 years of their snide and negative comments, aided by awful treatment from the premier league and uefa, has eaten into the consciousness of the general footballing public.

Since Monday I don’t think, in fact I know, that our football club has never been more alone. No one likes us, but I can’t say I don’t care, because I don’t really know why, and I know it isn’t deserved.

We are only just into an even longer and more sustained period of City bashing than we have ever known, the refs and VAR will feel even more at liberty to shaft us on the pitch, so let’s do one thing as CITY FANS, let’s get right behind our club and our players, for as long as it takes, win or lose, get behind the players and the management. I have ALWAYS been proud to be a Blue, and remain so as much today as the day I was born into a Blue family.

CITY TIL WE DIE
Because according to

we are for the last 2 years the world's richest (and most successful) football club. It's that simple.
