Why are you a City fan?

My Dad and his Dad, both life long Blues.

They were both at the game against Stoke when we had our record crowd and my Granddad watched City at Hyde Road, so who else would/could I support ?

Born on Thornton Road in the shadow of the Kippax, parents moved a couple of times before settling in Withington when I was 4. My Dad and his brother were City fans and took me to my first game in 1965, used to love night matches, I'd be back home by 9.30!

Dyed in the wool blue, as well as the rest of the extended family(I'm sure I've got a rag cousin somewhere) but also Being born a couple of months after we won the FA cup in 69 and named after me dads favourite City player.

My grandad died April 86.

First match of 86/87 season dad took me to Maine road with the immortal words "If I have to suffer for the rest of my life so will you"

The bastard....
