Family. Older brother is a blue. Hated him when Watching Wycombe Wanderers do a league double over us, (No I didn't go to Wycombe away but you know what I mean). Home defeats to Oldham Athletic, Stockport County and Bury are all worth it now. (Did I dream the Bury one or did we sneak a draw?)

1950 (I think), City v. Preston. The old man took me (sadistic sod). Been told it was Frank Swift's last game for the Blues. Remember Tom Finney and George Mudie playing for Preston. Of course we got beat, contracted Cityitis - it's incurable. Most of my mates followed the scum and some of the "battles" on the Red Rec in Openshaw were legendary.

When women have babies they have funny food fads.During her pregnancy my Mam used to chew on wool, I came out wearing a blue and white bobble hat and scarf.

Grew up in DFW, Texas at a time when Texas was a true soccer hotbed in the U.S. Decades later when the internet made it possible for a Texan to follow a PL team as closely as, say, the Dallas Cowboys I decided to pick a side to follow. Used to watch a lot of youtube interviews with Noel Gallagher so I randomly chose his fav team not wanting to bandwagon onto one of the big clubs. I chose blindly and I chose well ... had no idea about the then recent Mansour buyout. cha-ching

Born in Gorse Hill, Stretford in the 40's less than a mile from the Swamp. My old man came from Hulme and mam from Chorlton on Medlock and fortunately they were both Blues.
I was that young I can't even remember my first match although my old man told me I've seen Frank Swift. Still loving every minute of it.
