Why did we let Zinchenko go?

BUT NOBODY HAS BEEN PREPARED TO MEET OUR VALUATION OF HIM SO FAR>

Hope that helps you understand the different scenarios
Well his valuation is going down, so maybe we should have let him go, what happened to if a player doesn't want to be at the club then there is the door? Or are we if a player doesn't want to be at the club keep them against their will until we get the price we want?

Haaland is the problem, we try to hit him too quickly, we've changed a tried and trusted formula to incorporate Haaland, where we should just have carried on the same and he would have scored anyway just like Aguero used to do.
That’s an interesting perspective. I don’t think we’re trying to hit him anything like quickly enough, at least not lately. It would be one way of compensating for one less midfielder.

Now why let him go ? while last season many were asking for a LB since they don't consider Zinchenko as " real" LB.

I don’t think letting Zinchenko go is the problem, per se. It was the failure to sign a proper replacement after missing out on Cucurella
I dont think just signing a left back is the problem, the way i see it this season is we have problems all over the pitch, I dont think a LB alone would have solved our problems

Not Cucurella as the jury is still out, but the point is taken about a left back.

Sorry, wasn’t suggesting that was our only problem. We obviously have a few right now.

Funny how players get better by their absence - he was a decent wall to pass off for the better players, he had no pace so could only play against the teams that didn't have a pacey right winger and it wasn't very often he'd beat a man and get a cross in.
Imagine thinking it was his role to “beat a man and get a cross in”. Zinchenko is a world class inverted full back. He has everything you want in that position.
