All very well the OS saying that we will hear concrete news from that quarter, but in the meantime we drift across the ocean with a rudder that appears to have its days numbered and no one telling us if they are down the chandlers getting another and whether it is of merchantable quality!

Twitter journos saying a meeting will held on Thursday with Mancini and Pelly. Probably to formerly relieve Mancini of his duties and to discuss a deal with Pelly.

I wonder if there's gonna be Inside City this week...

His lack of european trophies is a worry to me, fair enough it's difficult to win La Liga, but hes spent several seasons in Spain and hes not even won the Copa del Rey.

Bobby has his faults and makes mistakes but gauging whether someone has under performed is only possible in hindsight. We can say with all that money he should be winning x y and z and look at Guardiola. Well if Bobby had messi iniesta Xavi he probably would have xy and z.

We are made out to have a team full of world beaters and their lack of consistency is blamed on Mancini. But problems will always arrive and it's the managers job to solve them. He deserves and has done enough to be given another season to do this.

He's blamed for playing Politics. Was he playing politics or was he criticising the person who,was in charge of transfers for doing a shite job. He should not have done it publicly but he kept getting asked the questions and he got frustrated.

He's blamed for falling out with players. Well good on him, if they don't like him tell em to get a 100k per week elsewhere. If the management had come out and said Mancini is staying months ago he wouldn't have had to cope with the mutinies and power struggles. Ferguson had all this for years when he first came. more recently no player would cross him as they knew where ferguson stood. Cross ferguson and you were out of the door. Cross Mancini and everyone says oh look Bobby can't handle the players. It's bollocks. Player power is not a reason for sacking a manger, it's a reason for sacking a player.

If tolmie is correct and Barca wanted him next season, and they were the ones who released the Pellegrini to City story on Friday, because he is more likely to come to us, then this all starts to make sense.

The fact that Mancini may go to Monaco, and spoke to them and Russia last year, also puts things in a different light.

Whatever is the truth, I don't think Mancini is doing himself or the club any favours by slagging off the hierarchy at the club. He may leave himself open to being sacked without compensation with some of his statements.

On another note, it was interesting to hear the ex Madrid CEO on talkshite last week, and he said that Mourinho has a buyout clause on his contract of 20 million euros, this should curtail some off Chelsea's spending this summer if true. He also said that Mourinho was trying to get himself sacked so it would be easier for him to move clubs without the buyout clause being triggered.
