The assumption that Bob has been handed a squad of players he didn't want is just fucking ludicrous.

80+ mins of one of the worst displays from a footballer I've ever witnessed (Dzeko) followed by Lescott up front with Garcia, Aguero and Sinclair on the bench suggests to me that no more money should be forthcoming i'm afraid.

erm... no ones arguing against that..would you really have risked sergios injury getting worse ??

we need a fit sergio for the run in to maintain 2nd place and the FA cup final..

If Bob had brought sergio on and hed made his injury worse then Id be calling for bob out too.

we'd lost it by then..tolmie knew wed lose and was right.

Riddle me this... If you don't want to risk injuring a player, why put him on the bench vs a player you can use?

Do you think it would worry spuds more seeing him there or not seeing him there..

who else was good enough to come on and change the game ?? had we won we would still be second, there was nothing really to gain from yesterday, all our remaining games are very winnable..sergio getting fit outweighed the spuds defeat for me..

By all rights we scraped through in the semi of FA Cup too. Bentitez had us figured and drafted on Torres and changed shape. Instant goal and they should've ahd a penalty when Komapny tugged Torres shirt. 2-2 and we could've been out possibly. Then you think of Real, then you think of this Sprus game. Very similar games.

Don't get me wrong, I am no fan of David Moyes. But why is it Everton manage to fuck us over 3 times out of 4? You don't find them managing to do that against United, Arsenal or Chelsea, do you. It's only us. And it's not random chance. I don't dread us going to Goodison any more, because I just expect us to lose.

Why is it we haven't got a plan to deal with that when other top clubs seem to manage? I think that points to a serious lack of tactical nous on our part, and this is a significant weakness of ours. Our CL performances too were down in part to us getting the tactics wrong on the big ocassions.

The win at the swamp tells me he does get it right. And as for deadwood, yes its his deadwood but Dzeko, kolarov,& garcia etc all came with decent CV's..

Those players weren't bought to fit a system though imo. This is where it falls down. Mancini may have been burdended by Hughes but he's burdened himelf too. Honest to god Sam I've knwon Maicons been shot for 2 years now, I said so in the summer, it was shocking that champions of England bought a declining player like that. For what he's done we may as well saved the fee and wages and used to lower FFP, to the tune of £8mill believe it or not!

Like has been said on here numerous times before..

Do you really think the likes of Rodders, maicon, garcia and sinclair were bobs prefered targets ??

Oh please !!

I wouldn't be surprised if Messi happens to be one of Bobs "preferred targets".

The reason he should stay is that even with these idiot players,we are probably going to come second and win the FA cup.. Thats a good reason to keep him.

He has said he knows where he went wrong and is going to fix it.. give him one more season to find out... if not fuck him off..

I think all the inners would echo my statement.

He's had the entire season to fix it, whatever 'it' is. Maybe in addition to not revealing what 'it' is, he also failed to mention that he has a two-year plan for addressing it?

"It" as you so eloquently put it is the dismal title challenge, the poor CL performance, the Carling cup exit.. Its what we all have to bear as City fans unfortunately, but most see the room for improvement and some dont and want rid of Bob...

Thats about it..

'It' would suggest one thing, not normally three things! Look, one thing you and I might actually agree about is that Bobby shouldn't necessarily be sacked (nor maybe retained) based on results only. With the Barca Boys in now, there are overarching goals for the entire footballing side of the operation which Bobby will be evaluated on. What kind of a trainer is he? Will he buy into a Barca style of play? Will he bring youth players forward into the first team, as appropriate. It's merely idle conjecture on my part, but I have a feeling that these evaluations will be just as important as where we finish in the League, etc.

The question was "Why would Sergio be on the bench? Why not someone who could play?"

Why pick him for the bench then?

Why not go one up front with Tevez, haul the donkeys arse off the pitch and put Garcia on and flood the midfield when it was clear we were getting over run?

Why wait so long to haul the donkey off the pitch and then replace him with a CB when you have 3 players on the bench with far more attacking potential that Lescott?

The 2nd half was a fucking disaster for Bob and its not the first time either.

I will go as far as to say this....Bob likes to prove a point like a big fucking kid, pointing the finger screaming, "I told you so" and sometimes I honestly think he lets it go tits up so he can say just that.

How any manager could sit there yesterday watching that unfold and do fuck all to counter it is just baffling imo.

Somewhat reminiscent of Hughes in that fateful 3-0 loss at White Hart Lane in his final season as our manager...

Not really Sam, they should've had a penalty. That would have made it 2-2. Are you denying this? If it was them 2-1 and Aguero handled by Luiz I'm sure you and others would say the same.

What I'm trying to say is base the future on what's best rather than say 'he won the fa cup', he may do but we've had a good fixture run in it and we were lucky in the semi final really (they also had a thursday game in russia lets not forget). I'm cutting through the sugar coat to see what I believe is the real context.

At best but even worse, someone who is just unable to change it round.

Not good either way you look at it.
