Could a hijacking of that deal be on the cards?

Wishful thinking IMO, though I don't have access to the rest of the article.

Mourinho will not make any commitments Chelsea Yet there is to many options in the pipeline he thinks

Fuck me, such is the desperation of the "Forza" brigade, now they can no longer blame Marwood, its all Txiki's fault lol

Txiki has a meeting with an agent and he is an idiot

Bob tells a packed news conference that he has had loads of offers from clubs and has spoken to Monaco and he is just being sensible and looking out for his own interests.

Far too many have really fallen in love with the scarf and its blinkered them to the realities of the situation and what actually happens in football.

He won't be coming to City as the club's new structure doesn't allow it. Mourinho would want complete control of everything on the playing side, including recruitment. He won't be getting that at City. He would merely be a head coach, working with players recruited by Tricky, and will have to a play to a tactical pattern that can be transferred from one manager to the next [ie the reported 4-3-3 system]. That doesn't rule out the possibility that managerial moves are occurring behind the scenes, of course.

I'm pretty sure Chelsea played 4-3-3 under Jose.

Maybe he did, but the point I'm making is that he won't be choosing which players to add to the squad. That will be all down to Tricky. Remember Jose's problems with Frank Arnesen and Avram Grant, also the unwanted signing of Schevenko? In the end, it led to him quitting Chelsea, and he wouldn't allow the same think to happen again. It's either him OR Tricky. Not both.

He was right about Schevchenko though, all that money for a player that was only signed because he was the owners friend.

Jose apparently said he was willing to work under Txiki at Barca.

I think people overstate Jose and Txiki not being possible or even able to work. Of course it could work. Txiki has the long term vision and Jose would put us in a position of being able to win as much as possible.

Jose also plays all kinds of players, many criticise him not fielding youth yet he fielded Santon and also Varane for example.

I'm not saying we will get Jose but imo it would work.

Well we'll know one way or the other pretty soon.
