Why we will win the league!

If you can promise me that Delph will never play for us again at left back then I’ll probably feel a lot better.
There's no way Pep will take that risk now when we're five wins away from the title.

It'll either be Mendy, Laporte or Zinchenko for the rest of the season and then he'll be gone in the summer imo.

I am happiest with Zinchenko at left back, and even then his inexperience still leaves me concerned.

Delph just hasn't got going this season, his body has let him down and his limited showings,on the rare occasion he's been fit....have suffered as a result.

Mendy needs a preseason too,he isnt fully fit and he's very unreliable.

Ok, let's breathe and look forward, after that painful night. Quite difficult to accept.

Without CL semis we have a full week pre Leicester H, Brighton A and the cup final.

Next 3 matches are key.
But spurs should have more problems physically on Saturday (for rotation),
rags are away at Everton on Sunday,
and 4 days pre Burnley should be ok.

Dippers in the semis might turn out as a blessing for the title race.
Matches at Newcastle and final day vs Wolves H will prove, what they have left in their legs.

My silent hope now is,
dippers lose a lot of energy and go out vs Barca, then suffer in the league, finishing 2nd.
Spurs do lose a lot of energy and go out vs Ajax, then suffer in the league, finishing 5th.

We quietly do the treble (and be titled "quadruple bottlers" by media darlings...).

We can relax and enjoy Barca-Ajax in the final, together with Pep and Johan Cruyff in mind.

I think we will drop points in one of our next two games.

That would be the ideal scenario now

I honestly don't think they will need it - We played really well and left it all out on the field - no need to be down.

Strongest team possible (fitness permitting).........
I’m still fucking gutted over last night I’d say the players are a lot worse I just hope they are up for it i the next 5 games especially Saturday

Made me wet reading that.

I have said all season whoever of the two goes furthest in the Champions League will lose the title race. I believe that will now be proved right.

City now have 5 games to focus on, win them and its done. Had we gone through last night I think we would have slipped up somewhere, probably against Spurs or at the swamp. I think that is now less likely though you cant rule out refereeing clownery.

Liverpool have two dates with Barcelona that will give them problems. I can see them slipping up at one of Cardiff or Newcastle or even both. Cardiff have a sniff of staying up and Newcastle really wont want to lose their last home game and certainly not to Liverpool whom they are not keen on at all.

In conclusion we have probably won the title by getting knocked out last night.

I am still however royally pissed off.
