Why we will win the league!

Not head to head results then. That's how it's normally decided under UEFA or FIFA regulations. Am I wrong?

It usually comes down to head to head results and it is silly that the league doesn't follow that rule. La Liga does and I assume most other leagues would too. I don't know how many cases there have been where it has been decided on those ground though.

But why have a play off game if head to head one team has already proven the better of the two teams? You would be saying, ignore the fact City drew at Anfield and beat them at home. Let them play again. If the head to head was equal then a playoff would be the only way. Ultimately, there seems to be way too much required for a play off to be required. It is unlikely Liverpool will have a better goal difference. But possible. If that is even then it is unlikely they will have scored more than us.

Just realised they play again Tuesday, so they really did get the semi short straw; not only Barca, but the 6 day turnaround for the two legs, as opposed to the 8 days for Spurs
I don't understand why they reverse the fixtures this way for the semi finals, why not Tue, Tue, and Wed, Wed ? It can't be commercial reasons.

Still if we benefit this year, I won't complain.

Why is it silly? We played our second game against Liverpool on 3 January. Under a head to head, we would have known from then that scoring extra goals would be irrelevant as we'd won the head to head. The current system encourages teams to keep scoring as goal difference/goals scored can change right up to the final game

Money?

I think it was after their win at Southampton. He clearly thought they'd passed a big test that day.

Scouse ****.

Yeah wasn't it against Tottenham that Carragher shouted something like "SALAH YOU DANCER!" when Lloris gifted them the winner, feck knows why but it nauseating in the extreme. I think I switched the telly off straight afterwards

EDIT - could have been against Chelsea when it scored that worldie, I've tried to erase these moments from LFCTV's coverage (Sky) that we've had to endure recently
