Why we will win the league!

I think we will win it cos we have the bottle, but am I incorrect in thinking they get more pens than us, get less given against them, and tend to get much better luck on players injured against them? In recent games, Palace had both keepers injured, Bournemouth had loads of injuries, scum will have martial and lingard out v them but back for us? Doubtless Kane and Ali will play against us but notvthem

I don’t think they’d drop points against their toughest 4 left, i.e. United, Everton, Spurs or Chelsea ... it’s the other 8 games they’d drop points in ... and some at home too, while shitting themselves!

The way I see it is it’s 50-50 at the moment. They have the “game in hand lead”, we have the better team. It is possible that both teams will win the remainder of their league games (because they are better than the corresponding opponents) and so the nightmare of a red dipper league title comes to fruition. It is also very possible that squeaky scouse bums will lead to heavily soiled undercrackers and the mighty blues will have another season to fondly remember (I am sure the images of us parading silverware will be closely matched with the Liverpool fallout in terms of enjoyment!)

The key is their next league game, if they win it remains 50-50, if they draw the odds are in our favour, if they lose...the rest of the season is going to good fun!

That game in hand is true but lead I don't agree with ... let them play that and then we'll see ... right now, it's only a burden of that game in hand, which is that they must win it to actually get that lead back ... lose it and it's gone, out of their hands for the rest of the season, what has been the case since December that they were in control of the title race ... points on board are way better than that game in hand, and the biggest PLUS I see is the week we have had, Arsenal, Everton (A) and Chelsea in one week and no one (especially them scousers) didn;t expect us to win all three ... and now them having a break after that doesn't help ... they'd be having doubts these past ten days while they're NOT PLAYING and watching us win and win and go on ... and now have Bayern and United coming within a few days, pressure is well and truly on them and they'd be bricking it ... thus refer you to my very first post in this thread, and why I think they'd bottle it, yet again!

I completely agree with all of that, I was slightly taking the p@ss with that “game in hand lead” hence the inverted commas! It is a question of psychology especially with this game in hand being their nemesis the rags. But you cannot get away from the facts that IF they win all of their remaining games the league is theirs and that they are better than all their remaining opponents.

THAT is "the" big IF ... and what I'm banking on becoming a WHAT IF :)

Hopefully the "Gods of Luck" will catch up with Liverpool at some point, and they'll lose a couple of games that they didn't deserve to / despite playing well.

Because so far that hasn't happened - can't think of a single game where Liverpool have taken fewer points than their play deserved?

We are better than Wolves, Liverpool, Palace, Leicester and Newcastle.

We were/are and should not have dropped points but we did. The red dippers are better than all their remaining opponents and should not/might well not drop any more points but they might.

One could argue they are better than Leicester and West Ham as well?
