"Wigan Blues" Flag Taken from Sunderland

Re: Thieving Blues

Many thanks for everyones' help, it is really appreciated. This shows that the vast majority of our support are proud to be honest blues.

Strangely enough we don't want to get anyone locked up or banned from City. It won't make us feel any better having a small part of City's support taken away despite their actions.

Just like the unwritten rule that tickets should be sold on to other Blues at face value, Blues should respect Blues.

We would simply like the flag back but if it is not returned then so be it. Nothing lost apart from the flag and a little faith in part of our support.

Thanks again.

Re: Thieving Blues

Maybe I'm just being naive but why would a city fan nick another person's flag? Are you sure some pisshead just didn't mistake it for theirs? You said there were some others left at the end.

Anyway hope you find it for your son mate- have faith in your fellow blues.

its because it says wigan blues on it.some city fans dont like other city fans that dont come from manchester.

This ^^^^

I got a gobful of abuse from another blue on Sunday whilst out shopping with the Mrs in Lincoln.

He pointed out to his mate that I must have been 'another one jumping on the bandwagon' because I evidentley didn't live in Manchester anymore.

I heard him and tried telling him that the City shirt I was wearing was at least 10 yrs old (I keep em all) - it was the EIDOS one from 1999/2000 season. I got told that the club didnt need any fans jumping on the bandwagon as the club had enough 'proper' supporters, like him, from Manchester.

The irony of us both being in Lincoln, 100 odd miles away from Manchester was lost on him.

Ps - Sorry for hijacking your thread with my rant!

bit off topic but do you sit in 220 in southstand??

Re: Thieving Blues

I don't understand some fans. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for having a drink and a laugh and a bit of banter. Why spend your money on a ticket, plus the cost and time of travelling to an away game (Sunderland = 3-4hrs there and back?) to get pissed up, cause trouble and get kicked out and miss the game?!

I can understand stewards being more inclined to turf out an away fan than a home fan in such circumstances but the Football Factory/Green Street generation are an embarrasement not just to the club but to the game....

Doesn't make sense.... sorry.

Hope you get your flag back. it's not about the cost, it's the principle, plus the fact the flag is well recognised and has travelled everywhere. If anyone sees it at a game, be sure to clock who the culprits are.

Re: Thieving Blues

Someone tried to nick my DENTON BLUES one when we were in Hamburg last year.
I had it out of a window in that square where we all were then noticed it was missing. Luckily found some lads with it and just took it off them, they were giving it oh sorry mate it just fell down etc etc

Thanks to the thieving lowlife who stole my son's 10 foot flag today at the game. It was at the front behind the goals next to a big blue Q of S flag until late in the game when it was nicked.

Now I can almost understand supporters of other teams nicking them but BLUES STEALING FROM BLUES? It is disgraceful! I would have thought we were above that sort of thing, obviously not.

As it was a Red St George flag with WIGAN BLUES on the cross I have no idea why you would want it unless you are just one of these people who steal things for the hell of it.

My lad was gutted as that flag has travelled half way round the world with us watching City (you can see it on the home page of this site).

If you are reading this then you are probably the type of person who will find it funny, I wonder if anyone else on here does. However, in the off chance that you have a "mate" who took it by "mistake" then PM me.
IF YOU WANT YOUR FLAG BACK IT WILL BE £250 . LET ME KNOW AND WE CAN SORT SOMTHING OUT

You daft ****. How about i ram it up you're arse and pull it from you're mouth? Free of charge of course.

Re: Thieving Blues

can i just say we lost our flag at hull last season, due to beer we all forgot about it, till someone from high peak blues phoned us up the next day and said they seen it and took it home for us, where they then said go to maryds and it will be there for you, so there are some top blues too.

Re: Thieving Blues

we got some real scum now following us.\At Bolton they were abusing people on train home then at Hull were fighting amongst themsleves. I am getting fed up with some of our away supporters they also think its funny smoking in seats now we got our allocation cut THANKS
