Wilfried Bony 2015/2016 Performances

He just got in the way today. No one wanted to pass to him and his movement was awful. One of city's worst ever signings in my opinion

No I'm not counting friendlies.

I'll ask again, what was your source for your bullshit?

He's scored 6 goals (30apps) in the league since he's joined the club. You don't need any source for that.

Not just that. Every time he gets the ball, his control or pass is rubbish and he gives the ball straight back to the opposition.

I'm always loathe to slagging a City player off, but I genuinely don't know a single City fan who thought he should've started today. Pretty alarming that the manager saw fit to play him for as long as he did.

I guess Pellegrini could point to the League Cup final, and the selection of Caballero, and he was vindicated that time. This time he patently hasn't been.

The team is starting to mirror the manager. Tired, lethargic, old and at times clueless. He should have gone at the end of last season and a league cup and probable progress in the champions league hasn't changed my mind on that. Choosing Bony for any game unless we have no other fit striker is bloody minded to say the least.

He must have impressed the manager all week in training, the only reason I can think he started.
Bony should have been pulled off at half time.

You are right, its actually 6 in 30 games in the premier league.

Thanks for clarifying this mate, you're a bit late to the party on this discussion. Bony's stats were being discussed in comparison to other players that have previously played for City.

When the stats were being compared there were compared on all appearances in all comps then my fried Originalkippax came out with his stat of 6 goals in 27 games. I asked him to specify what this stat was and he skirted around it without giving me a clear answer, instead resorting to petty insults.

I now realise thanks to your post that he was just referring to league games but even bearing that in mind he was/is still wrong.

99.9% of people who saw the game today - "bony was shit and shouldn't have been picked"

Dax777 - "it's all agueros fault"
That's an awesome interesting conclusion. Nothing resembling my position, but OK. My position is simple. There is a disproportionate focus on Bony after a tie. He was average. He did well with some of his opportunity, did poorly with others. Often tracked players all the into our half. Tot he was slow, bit even when he was in play, he wasn't passed to.

And after he left, we promptly failed to create anything. Not that we created much with him around, but his absence didn't change much. What does all that suggest?

To me it suggests blowing up strictly the Bony thread is some serious head in the ground acting.

I wonder if the Chinese might give the club a call. Might get our money back.
