I didn't understand the flak he got at first, sure, he was missing chances, but he was at least winning headers and making good passes. Looked like a technically sound battlecruiser.
But he's just got worse and worse. I suppose it shows what can happen when the mental side gets away from you. I'm not aching to make this a Mancini thing, but I think he knew something about what characters would survive, maybe knew something about our atmosphere since moving to the Eithad. Dzeko and Balotelli were arrogant in their own ways. Nothing gets inside Aguero's bubble. Even Jovetic, injuries aside, when he was on the pitch.. how can I explain it? I never felt sorry for him. Always thought he believed in himself, always felt he had a goal in him at any point.
Other successes; Tevez and Bellamy. Anelka, Crazy Wanchope. Adebayor not a huge success but scored enough. Sturridge. Andy Cole?
Some nutters, some unlikeable fucks. Quite a few arrogant and selfish people .
Compare that to the failures: Jo, Benjani, Sam. None were disasters to begin with, but once the doubt got to them, they regressed and ultimately vanished without a trace. Bianchi ran away screaming like a girl.
I'll not lump Darius in with them, he was never much cop for us, but damn he showed a lot of guts, saw off a lot of strikers in his time.

Since moving to the Etihad, every city striker has to have an unassailable self-belief - even if that makes them selfish or arrogant - or they will likely disappear without a trace.

Kinda crazy but he's looked better recently. Before he'd be terrible and miss chances and now he's just lackluster. I was actually impressed with that spin and turn against Southampton.

I'm not saying he's very good, I think I've been a frequent fixture on this thread and labeled him a tree months ago. Saying that, he has somehow performed better IMO.
That is only because it was fucking windy and he moved.....trees do that in the wind!
