Not in the slightest bit excited about this, missing a month every season also we seem to be buying from the 2nd tier of world football these days.

He won't be playing in the ACON until 2017 after this one. I do agree we don't seem to be interested in pushing for the top level players which is very odd,It may catch up on us quicker than we think.

Top level players like who ?? exactly is available right now...

I welcome any signing but the fact we are paying £30m for Bony makes me wonder why the hell we never went in for Alexis Sanchez

Sanchez was only £5m more and he is a much better player. He would have been an amazing partner for Aguero.

Bony may turn out to be a great signing but i think we could do slightly better.

Would he be happy playing second fiddle to Kun?

He wouldn't be signing for us otherwise. I mean, there's no striker in the world who could get into our team and expect be be ahead of Kun in the hierarchy. No one.
But as I said above, this could mean Pellegrini will go back to two strikers-formations.

Two strikers worked alright last season.

4-4-2 doesn't always work out for us. We need to be careful.

Like with any signing, I will reserve judgement until I see him play week in week out. But I'm cautiously optimistic about this one. Couldn't care less about the fee, and whilst it would be nice to have him immediately, if I thought our club were making £50m transactions on the basis of a week or two's injury crisis, I'd be very worried.

We needed another striker and it looks like we're going to get a good one. We've got one world class sriker, one world class playmaker and one world class centre half, so let's suck it and see. We are certainly better with him in the squad than without, so this is ultimately good news.

As long as we get him of course...

Dont top draw strikers cost60mill + we cannot spend that type of money ffp

A goal every other game over the last 5 seasons. Much better than Drogba's ratio before joining Chelsea.

The real deal!

Even if the timing seems slightly pointless because of AFCON, I think it would be silly to pass if we think he's of the quality required given the injury history of both Aguero and Jovetic. We could easily find ourselves in the same predicament we are in right now later in the season.

I'm a big fan of this player, I've always thought he'd work great in our setup. Knows how to be an outlet for his defenders but can play the 1 and 2 touch game as well. I'm really excited by this if it happens.

Exactly, make him your number one man like Arsenal and Udinese have and did and he will consistently deliver for you, I am not sure we could get the best out of him with Aguero being out main man.

Same with Cavani, although I think Cavani suits a quick counter attacking team like Jen he was at Napoli instead of a possession based team.

Liverpool should have gone all out for Cavani in my opinion.

If we sign him ... would you like him to play against Βarca in Spain next to Aguero ?
Liars ! You will pick up the -3 on the midfield- formation and Βοny will be on your bench

Sanchez was £32m and would have been perfect for us.
