Will Covid change the world

I think it will reset society in some ways. How we view 'essential' may become less superficial. Local shops and services should become better valued and used and our low paid essential workers recognised for the work they do.
The era of celebrity and cheap disposable lifestyles shown for what they are. The real distances between the elite and the rest will be sharpened.
Real poverty will be faced by people who previously felt insulated from it. The middle classes will realise what a fine line life can be. My business is in ruins. My pension savings have nearly halved and may disappear altogether. But my one thought is for everyone to stay safe. All other matters are currently null and void. This will be a major reboot of the world.

The vacuousness of celebrity and how they think singing a john lennon song was gonna be applauded, also why they all could get atest while the "peasants" were left unable to.

The value the public sector and service and support workers actually give and have to a society.

I hope it does make people think again about what is important in life. I think we will also see a lot of changes in our political system moving forward. The current top-down structure is just too slow to react to events in a modern technological era. It is not sustainable any more.

It has cleared up air polution for a while in some places, shame it won't last after it's over.

It will change how people travel and check made at airports for health risk

It will change hopefully how we prioritise cleanliness and personal hygiene in public places.

It has shown that the politics of soundbites doesn't equal steing govenment.

It has shown up that decades of neo-liberal look after yourself governance has turned our society into a shitshow of selfishness and stupidity.
Just goes to show the effects humans have on polution,i don't know how can deny it now

When you weigh up what mankind has done to this planet it is criminal and maybe just maybe this is the start of the end for humanity.

Had the same thought few days ago ! I think the way people live their lives will change.

It might mean people spend more time with their kids rather that spend their time in work during the kids childhoods even after the covid-19 disappears.

It will make people more aware of personal hygiene and cleanliness for sure.

It will probably affect socialising post covid-19.

People may realise they can live without football, other sports, entertainment etc and that will have a knock on effect on the industry specially if the current measures remain in effect for a prolonged period of time.

It will make the gaming/virtual sports industry even more popular.

Working from home can actually be used as a measure to reduce carbon footprint in future.

Socialism might become popular once more.

I just hope that the world will become kinder, the stories that I am hearing of the planet becoming cleaner are heartening, this might pull our society close at least that's what I am thinking.

Could be the endpoint for numismatics. Even societies that have resisted the transition from cash to cashless will now have to change, and coins and notes, if ever produced, will be only for the collectors.
