Will they fire Mancini?

Mancini didn't speak English when he took the City job so that doesn't necessarily matter. Ditto Capello and England. Talk of replacing him is way too premature, IMHO. 2nd will still be our highest ever Premiership finish although I concede he may be released if we don't win it next season. They've provided him with more than enough to put a title winning squad together.

Was that Spanish that he spoke in his first presser?

I watched his first "presser" (the one Cook buried himself in) and he didn't speak English throughout. If you watch Blue Moon Rising then you'll see for yourself. He was subtitled and had an interpreter alongside him.

But he did speak some English, which means that the opening to your statement was inaccurate and i'm a pedantic so and so in a bad mood cos I've been awake most of the. Night thanks to a fresh stinker of a cold.

A few broken sentences written down for him by someone else isn't really an achievement. I must admit I felt so painfully sorry for him at the Press Conference. It was there to welcome a 3 time Serie A winning Manager to the Premiership and was completely mishandled by Uncle Bryn from Gavin & Stacey. The Journalists were almost cruel with their treatment! Completely preventable had City done the right thing and dismissed Hughes on the day after Tottenham away.

Forza Mancini

Think long term and not short term unlike Chelsea. United stuck with Fergie and we should stand by Roberto; it will eventually all click into place and we WILL become the best team in the world under Mancini!

If our owners were 100% committed to Mancini no matter the outcome of this season, don't you think he would already have signed a long-term contract rather than have the papers speculate?

Maybe we want to get the season out of the way first, then concentrate on the contract. Also we don't have a Chief Exec still so this could be another reason

There is no way City will fire Mancini, the Chairman and owners are far too intelligent to get rid of a man who has brought us a team capable of winning trophies on a consistant basis whether we win the Premiership this year or not. The simple fact is the fans trust Mancini and the progress is apparent, we are now mixing it with the big boys. The first season he took over he created a team that was difficult to beat, the best in the country defensively and now in his second season he has combined that solid base with us playing some of the best short passing, possession football this country has ever seen. Fair enough we haven't been as fluid in the last couple of months but we've been missing big players (Kompany & Balotelli through suspension, Kolo & Yaya with the ACON and Tevez for obvious reasons) and any club would miss 5 players of that quality. Even if we don't win the league this season you know next season we'll comeback bigger, stronger and more powerful than ever under Mancini. He's a fighter and a winner, in Mancini we trust.

No we won't. We'll be competitive domestically and fall short in Europe. If you're happy with that, which many blues are, then stick with Mancini. If you want to dominate domestically and going toe to toe with the likes of Barcelona in Europe, then you appoint Mourinho.

without at least other 4/5 signings mourinho would just suck the cok of barca and real madrid. like he did at inter before they buy eto'o motta milito lucio pandev and sneijder.
