Mancini is at the Lille game watching Hazard with Platt (big smiles as Hazard made it 1-0). Would Mancini bother if his job wasn't safe? I truly believe he is safe for at least one more season and already planning our transfer activities.

If you want to dominate domestically and going toe to toe with the likes of Barcelona in Europe, then you appoint Mourinho.
Who are you, mystic meg!?
Can't believe this topic is even up for discussion. Mancini has delivered our first trophy, we went out of the champions league with a points total that would 9/10 get you through in the hardest group in the competition and are likely to get a points total in the prem that would normally win you the league. The progress has been phenomenal. Where has sacking managers got Chelsea?
This team is developing and we have improved our points total massively (and by the way we can still win the league) on last season and some people want to undo that by taking a high risk chance on another manager!!?
As usual, its city fans pressing the self destruct button.
I
Over and over again, we get Blues on here confusing team achievement with managerial ability.
Is it so hard to see that the players have carried our manager to the (limited) success that we've had so far and that our talented and expensive squad have done their best to paper over the cracks regarding tactics, team selection and inspiration?
Your whole argument is a false one. Please don't come up with it again.
Much obliged,
Remoh.

Maybe it just took him 2 seasons to understand that we need pacey wingers.
I don't mind mistakes as long as the manager corrects the mistakes.

They also need to be available, technically good, likely to fit within the shape of the team, value for money. Mancini went in for Sanchez in the summer exactly for that reason and was also interested in Hamsik, Lavezzi etc etc. It is not always as straight forward as just going out to buy them.
Look how long United have been chasing a creative midfielder or Arsenal an experienced centre half. Typical nonsensical criticism of the manager.

Think he placed faith in Johnson (despite Johnson's lack of pace, he could still beat his man once upon a time) and it has backfired. Think we should have 1 great winger and 1 bit part but useful winger. ie. Hazard/Di Maria and Weiss

sam-caddick said:I like Hazard but for me Robben and Lavezzi should be our winger priorities this summer. Robben will be a steal for 10m as well esp with FFP coming in. Hazard would be too much of a risk IMO coming from quite a poor league for 25m + to the PL. We need tweaks in the summer and wingers and a CB will be perfect I think.
