Re: Will we win the Prem (continued)?

One thing for sure is if the dippers do win their next four games they will have deserved it.That would be 14 games on the bounce and defeating 3 of their main title rivals into the bargain.

Half of me would be pleased for the decent Liverpool fans out there and i know it sounds sad but Gerrard too, forget the media arse kissing he HAS been a magnificent one club man for Liverpool. The other half would hate it due to the media gloating and royal arse kissing we would have to endure from them and the stupid soundbites from the irritating Rodgers that would accompany it.Oh and not forgetting some of the vile brick throwing abusive scum that follow that club too!

If you look at Chelsea's games on paper they will be a doddle except for the Liverpool game, the same for the dippers in reverse. We have two tough away games at Palace and Everton, grounds we have never done much at before and the teams we play at home can cause us problems,as Sunderland did at Wembley until two quality strikes turned it around.

I would love to be proved wrong and us to win it but i feel it is all too little and too late with too much to do now.

Why will Palace away be any less tough for Liverpool than for us?
Palace could be safe by the time they play Liverpool but still need points v us.

Although I think palace will be tough for Liverpool Monday night when Chelsea and us have already played
Well Palace are pretty much safe anyway so I think they will be safe by time they play us too. Their fans seem really up for it this season so I think Palace will desperately want to do us and Liverpool if they can.

They will every teams fans want them to win every game, plus if you are not classed as one of the big boys you always relish turning them over,as did we not so long ago.

They wouldn't outright throw the game, but I can imagine a drop in intensity. It would make it a much easier game than at Anfield (I think even if they are still gunning for CL, it still will be easier).

I am confident about our getting a result at Everton, just as we did on the same weekend in the 2011/12 season. We just need Chelsea to do what we weren't allowed to do at Anfield.
Everton's players won't give a shit who wins the league. They're not fans and will want to win this game as much as they want to win all their others.

People come out with this stuff all the time, it's a load of bollocks. Do you remember when Leeds and united were going for the league in 1992. We were supposedly going to let Leeds beat us but we shat on them. Fortunately they still went on to win the league. Everton will be well up for it as they are against all the top teams at home, absolutely no doubt.

i remember it well and i always use this game as an example when people talk about teams letting others win, at the game that day once that whistle went you can't help it you want your team to win

Re: Will we win the Prem (continued)?

I still think we'll do it, the 4 home games aren't a worry for me so it comes down to 2 huge away games with Everton the key one. It will go down to the last day again.

I hope if it does we are above Liverpool as they play Newcastle at home - about as bigger gimme as you can get

Re: Will we win the Prem (continued)?

Anyone know when the last time was that on the last day 3 teams could still win it ?

Newcastle are absolute turd, no doubt but we just have to keep going and take it to the last day if we can. You just never know whether their arses will go or not and it would be a travesty not to fully test their nerves at the death.

That's it. Whilst Liverpool and our last games are on paper very much winnable, you never know. We lost to Norwich in a nothing game for ourselves last season. Most wouldn't have called that. Cardiff away for Chelsea, could be tough. For my nerve I hope Chelsea slip up before that. I still firmly believe going into the last game Chelsea will be our main rivals. I think Liverpool will slip up. Pressure on, they've had their luck and won their battles. They still have to win more and they wont win them all. Chelsea ideally will draw with Liverpool and Liverpool will slip up elsewhere too. That would put them on 82pts going into the last game, with Chelsea on 82pts as well. To get 82 we would need to win 4 out of 5 games. Blue tinted specs on! Seriously think there are more twists and turns to come. Liverpool are due a sticky spell. Maybe without Henderson they have one. Maybe after the emotions of this weekend they have one. It's not over.
