Yeah I think this is far better than we realise too. We've started slowly performance-wise in recent seasons and had to play catch up. This time, although things aren't quite clicking, we're winning loads of games and our new signing is scoring goals like no tomorrow. It bodes well for the end of the season.

I should have put emphasis on defender, my bad. I'm aware being a CB at Peps entails much more than defending the goal and those other guys have more to contribute in that area. What I mean is Ake is the one I trust most when things aren't working out and we actually have to stop opponents from scoring. For that reason alone I would hate to see him gone.I really don’t agree with this.
Laporte was the main man at the back end of the season and was instrumental in us winning the league. Ake was injured for the most of the run in. Granted he did ok but no way has he been our best defender.
I like Ake but the reality is that’s he’s the 5th best centre back out of our compliment.

Great to see shots on target (7) now resulting in goals.
16 shots only resulting in 3 goals is a great set of statistics compared to last couple of seasons where say say 20 plus shots would get say 4 or 5 on target.

I’ve just watched MOTD (I know I really need to get a life!) and I hadn’t really taken in when watching it live that Pep made 5 substitutions. That doesn’t happen often does it? Do you think he was getting frustrated?
There weren’t, IMHO, any of our lads playing badly just not up to 100 %, understandable after midweek game.
However Pep’s body language at the whistle suggested he was going to give them a good telling off!!
Come on Pep, those lads never give in, they fight to the end. Send them off to the International break with a bit of a boost. We are (for the moment) Top of the League. JMHO
