Wolves (H) | PL | Post-Match Thread

Great summary. Better from City, I liked that we went forward with the ball quicker and we pressed better. Still think we need to improve to catch Arsenal. Surprised Wolves didn’t play Podence from the start. Gave us a few problems when he came on. That Collins fella played well.
Wolves wanted to play cautiously, with more podence!

Jacks playing well but I still think he tends to turn and go back too much. He saves himself sometimes by drawing the foul. Probably why he didn't get the penalty, went down too easy.
Yeah I know what u mean, but I genuinely enjoy watching him play and currently he’s way better than foden.

I was surprised by how dirty wolves were..hope the fuckers get relegated.
Having Stones back makes a huge difference..he's so calm on the ball and creates space when he brings it out of defence.
Rico is such a good player and very composed on the ball.
Jack had another very good game.
Erling is a fucking machine.
We played well today but once the 3rd goal went in we went into energy saving mode..not that it isn't a good idea.
Very happy with the 3 points and no injuries

Nah he was clipped on the back of his calf mate..watch it again..it was a definite penalty.

yep totally, a stone wall pen that VAR missed ? even the mahrez goal should have stood with the so-called new rules letting the forward have a bigger margin ? the arsenal winner was a worst offside, but given, dare I even say zinchenko was also offside

Great performance; great response to Pep’s rallying cry on Thursday.

I thought that the whole team played very well, but I was particularly impressed by Rico in the first half.

The first half was becoming rather frustrating, until Erling nodded his first in. Another assist for KdB. Even from my seat in 328, it looked a penalty on Jack. Why wasn’t it given?

However, there was no doubt about the second; a definite stone-waller, and the third was a typical City goal.

I was pleased to see Pep give Cole and Kalvin some more minutes.

The Arsenal bandwagon looks unstoppable, but they still have to play Manchester City twice, and if we play like we did today and on Thursday, the title race is far from over.

That’s a thought, aren’t they supposed to use the wider line yet we never got to see it?

but once the 3rd goal went in we went into energy saving mode.

Now if Pep wants full control of the game and stop players from turning off, this can not happen,
I totally understand your view, in fact it's the right way, but does pep want his cake and eat it with the players and the fans, Games can fizz out at 3.0 up and players don't need to be playing and then fans will turn off go home early or just watch their phones and go for a piss or drink,

maybe it was all just a bit of mind games by pep, but the fans booing took a hell of stick by the media and some city fans as well, once you get into a mind set of turning off even if you're winning then trouble is just around the corner,

would we have got a different reaction at half-time 2.0 down to spurs if we just sat on our hands and do nothing
pep and the players needed a kick up the arse, and it come from the stands and not the half-time talk by pep, in fact we did the team talk for him
