Zero clear cut chances

That does not make a shite performance.

If a teams packs its defence, is orgnainsed, disciplined and works hard enough, it can be very difficult to create many clear cut chances.

Arsenal game will be a hard watch without Rodri and with all the injuries. As far as this game goes we lacked creativity, but it probably wont matter come the end of the season.we move on.

The problem today was poor build up play. Which is not a big surprise with Walker and Ake at FB and without Rodri and Bernardo to help out. Ake was very poor and surprisingly slow.

Won't be easy. All the talk about us walking the league was stupid. We are likely to win, though, unless injuries ruin the season.

A proper smash and grab, they did fuck all but be aggresive and time waste.

we were no terrible, but showed a soft underbelly and lack of strength

However Kovacic and foden were piss weak and bullied all game, unless he asked taking nunes off was a poor decision that only made us look weaker

Doku, great on the ball but he needs to support his fullback when out of possesion the first goal wouldn't happen if he tracked back.

Tracked back ? Usain Bolt with rocket burners stitched to his arse wouldn't have been quick enough to catch Neto from where Doku was when Kovacic's pass unitentionally hit Foden from about a yard away and allowed Wolves to counter on us when we were camped in their half. Ake couldn't deal with Neto's pace and Dias turned it into his own net from the cross. No blame can be attached Doku for that goal.

Don’t see how they were the better team 11 in defence constant cheating and time wasting aided by a complicit officials Got a lucky deflection for first and thing fell for them for second Were horrendous but unless you count being able to defend with 11 in the last 18yds as good then they were as bad

They had the lead almost the entire game and didn't have to attack. Made sure we didn't create anything so they could win the game. Woth other words they were the better team. If we created loads and they just got lucky it would have been another thing, but when they never looked like losing its hard to argue we were better.

Let's be honest, Nunes was a textbook panic buy. That's not to say he won't come good for us - he's actually started really well and I don't think he was the issue today, but we had no plans to sign him until the last two weeks of the window when Mendes shopped him to us.

Failure to land Bellingham, Rice (not sure he was the answer anyway), Paqueta (out of our control) and failure to keep Gundo has done for us.

The window didn't flop the we wanted/needed, & today cruelly exposed City without Rodders & KDB.

Deep lying creativity, gone! Forward creativity, gone! Nunes is a CM who's not a Rodri, not a KDB. He's just another body in midfield like Kovacic, but Kova offers a little more.

We've gone from Silva & KDB to what? Only Rodri has replaced Fernandinho, & without him it's 2 games, two losses. THAT'S how important Rodri is to us & we all knew this.

At least Paqueta would have been closer to KDB, but no one else at the club comes close to Rodri. Without both & Bernardo, the difference is stark.

Outside of Camavinga, where do we find another Rodri? \0/

This has been my fear for the last 12 months. Philips hasn't worked & neither Kovacic or Nunes don't come close.

We can't keep rinsing Rodri for 56 games as season, but as it stands we can't do without him, & Philips won't leave to create the space/need for us to concentrate on finding a proper replacement.

What would we have done today for a Gundog & Mahrez at least?

We don’t. We may simply learn to play another way. I’d be half tempted to rest Rodri on Wednesday, but the truth is that we currently have a problem with the players ahead being a little inexperienced and making decisions that put the defence under pressure. We’re fine when we start and keep possession, but the moment things break down or the opponent ups the levels of aggression, we have problems. If the referee then allows things to go, as has been the case in the last three games, we look decidedly shaky. Going to be a bumpy fortnight.
