Once again stats masking a toothless performance.
Utterly toothless yet again.
Historic treble in the bank, top of the league, toothless, just utterly fucking toothless again.

The window didn't flop the we we wanted/needed, & today cruelly exposed City without Rodders & KDB.
Deep lying creativity, gone! Forward creativity, gone! Nunes is a CM who's not a Rodri, not a KDB. He's just another body in midfield like Kovacic, but Kova offers a little more.
We've gone from Silva & KDB to what? Only Rodri has replaced Fernandinho, & without him it's 2 games, two losses. THAT'S how important Rodri is to us & we all knew this.
At least Paqueta would have been closer to KDB, but no one else at the club comes close to Rodri. Without both & Bernardo, the difference is stark.

especially with their awarded two-soft-pens-a-game average and a hater of a refArsenal game will be a hard watch without Rodri and with all the injuries. As far as this game goes we lacked creativity, but it probably wont matter come the end of the season.we move on.
The Stats are absolute tosh.68% possession, 23 shots, 8 on target and we where shit according to some on here?
Most on here haven’t got a fucking clue.
Well played ref.
Yeah he looked lost in that first half. Not sure if Kovacic looked fit really as he was so far off the standard he’s set so far for us.

Correct about poor finishing. We should have had at least another couple at West Ham, and another three against an abysmal Rag Star Belgade.Top and bottom of it is that we shouldn't be losing to sides like this. One fuckin' shot on target and it delivers two goals. They've had the usual statistical battering handed out to most teams and they've had the lion's share of Lady Luck. We must get to grips with the finishing. Twenty three fuckin' shots to their three.
A little bit of cheer but not enough - Rags have lost at home
Any ideas for another Rodri replacement in the future? I can only think of Camavinga on his level, but there's fuck all chance we'll ever prise him away from Real.We don’t. We may simply learn to play another way. I’d be half tempted to rest Rodri on Wednesday, but the truth is that we currently have a problem with the players ahead being a little inexperienced and making decisions that put the defence under pressure. We’re fine when we start and keep possession, but the moment things break down or the opponent ups the levels of aggression, we have problems. If the referee then allows things to go, as has been the case in the last three games, we look decidedly shaky. Going to be a bumpy fortnight.
Its not that. They need a year to settle but the issue is we have so many of them in the starting line up due to injuries that it's damaging our philosophy and leaving us playing someone else's game as opposed to our own.Our transfer window dealings were very underwhelming.
you should never rest on your laurels, I hope the team isnt.Utterly toothless yet again.

So attacking and trying to win and score goals is toothless performance?Once again stats masking a toothless performance.
If that how you measure then fine Got lucky twice and Their tactics were anti-football the 11 man defence and hitting us on counter I can cope with but the constant fouling and diving going down with cramp and holding their face when it has been touchedThey had the lead almost the entire game and didn't have to attack. Made sure we didn't create anything so they could win the game. Woth other words they were the better team. If we created loads and they just got lucky it would have been another thing, but when they never looked like losing its hard to argue we were better.
The drop off from Rodri especially is too much. My hope is Pep recognises this & makes it clear to the club that Rodders needs backup & Philips has to be moved on.Felt for the 1st time in years we lacked identity, as poor as we have been in a long long while
