So we should be expecting home games that are sell outs next season?
There really is a paucity of information on the development squad. May be too early for the upcoming season but can't find squad lists anywhere.Didn’t know those players - Ramsden, Taylor (wasn’t Gareth was it), Prior, Dahou and Samson. Was Pullen - Millie Pullen - a highly rated Wolves academy player linked with us in the past? Has she signed for City?
You're getting angry over nothing. There was an announcement and thanks on the website, and at least one tweet.I would have liked them to have treated her with the same respect that they showed to the other players who left City this summer. I don’t want a feature-length documentary but Caroline never even got a “thanks for your service goodbye”. 4 seasons and some wonderful goals and nothing said when she left……not good.

How do you get tickets for away games? Do you have to buy them from the away club?
She shared a ‘thanks’ with possibly one of the worst players to ever play for Manchester City Women. That is worth getting angry over. You're getting angry over nothing. There was an announcement and thanks on the website, and at least one tweet.
I'm in agreement with you. They both deserved their own, thank you and farewell message in my opinion. Weir especially deserved her own. She was an outstanding player for us and appeared to be a good person as well. She shared a ‘thanks’ with possibly one of the worst players to ever play for Manchester City Women. What a stupid post. Quality player who played 4 seasons, 124 games and contributed to our success. Bracketed with a totally useless so-called keeper that made us a laughing stock.Yeah but the least they could have done is offered to be wined and dined by Donny Osmond and plastered her name all over the CIS building in pink lasers.
We failed :)

Poor from the club.
I know the women's team have top training facilities and a nice stadium at the academy stadium however, I feel like the club doesn't much care about them. What a stupid post. What’s your problem? Apart from being a pain. You clearly feel that she does not merit better respect than that shown by the club.Maybe start a gofundme campaign for a statue or a trip to Vegas for her?

Your opinion. Her goals against the Ragettes alone make her a City Womens Legend.
A very poor and unfunny joke. Repeated twice…sadly.I made a joke and you lunged, get over yourself.

At least we know your opinion of Caroline Weir.
If you've got nothing better going on, sure. As it is, it could have been better and that's about it. It doesn't change what she achieved here or how the fans think about her, it's a weird thing to get angry about. Let alone angry enough that you start moving the goalposts from getting any thanks to what she did get not being enough. She shared a ‘thanks’ with possibly one of the worst players to ever play for Manchester City Women. That is worth getting angry over.
It's nice to know you respect other City players at least. What a stupid post. Quality player who played 4 seasons, 124 games and contributed to our success. Bracketed with a totally useless so-called keeper that made us a laughing stock.

Entirely agree. The questions about the youth set-up (on this thread and elsewhere) back that up for me, they don't seem half as invested in trying to be the best, whether it's with big spending on signings or overwhelming/quality infrastructure. Was interested to see at least one of the post-Euros WSL introduction pieces allude to the funding at City not being as much as at Arsenal or Chelsea.I know the women's team have top training facilities and a nice stadium at the academy stadium however, I feel like the club doesn't much care about them.
Sure, they'd be happy for them to qualify for the Champions League but aren't terribly bothered if they are successful. They certainly don't seem to go out of their way for them. Maybe I'm wrong buy it is how I see it.
They even half arse social media for the women too. I understand women's football isn't as big as men's. That said, they are fans out there who will consume every bit put out about the team and its players. They will spend just as big as fans of the men's team. There are fewer of them obviously but they are out there and I suspect the numbers of them are growing. If you've got nothing better going on, sure. She was never going to get a statue or one of the little documentaries, if you're not part of that first crop (Bardsley, Scott, Houghton, Cushing) you get a thanks and that's it. The point isn't that Weir doesn't deserve more, it's that it's weird to single her out. She's a good player who had some great moments, she wasn't a legend.

Yeah I agree with that as well. I've seen some interesting debates about how to do the social media best - all in one account or split etc - so I get the overall strategy can be difficult, but for example having a City Women twitter account but only using it for match updates and not even announcing signings on there too, means it's a pain in the arse to try and check if you've missed an update on the 'main' account because there'll be about 10 posts for the men's team for every 1 for the women's team. It's like they want you to work harder as a fan. They even half arse social media for the women too. I understand women's football isn't as big as men's. Assign one person, maybe one full time and one who splits time between men's side and women's side or a kid on work experience. Their job is only social media about the women's team. It is isn't difficult. The more they are out there the better chance the number of fans will grow.
Exactly. It shouldn't be more difficult. If someone has to wade through 20+ Twitter posts to find one about the new women's team signing they might just say "Sod it. I have other things that need doing." Attention spans in younger people are not nearly as good as in older people , in general. If they aren't "satisfied " in a very short time they move on.Yeah I agree with that as well. Just imagine how the rags feel who receive pitiful “help” in comparison with us.I know the women's team have top training facilities and a nice stadium at the academy stadium however, I feel like the club doesn't much care about them.
