World Cup 2018 | 6th July | QF: Brazil vs Belgium, KO 19:00 (BST)

I thought he was excellent to be fair. He was so effective, his size and pace made Miranda look very poor. But it’s the factor of having two world class players behind you that provides you with space, time and the right passes to shine. Hazard and de Bruyne are two exceptionally good footballers, making a decent but not particularly top class player in Lukaku look elite. It’s what Silva and de Bruyne do for Sterling at City. Raheem is a decent but not particularly top class player but our midfield make him look better than he is.
I’m beginning to feel quite sorry for the big lump.
He looks twice the player without the cold dead hand of peg on his shoulder.
He needs to follow the example of the dimarias and mickyterrians of this world and get out of the swamp now.

He didn't warrant all the praise as if he was Pele in his pomp. Aside from the decent run he didn't really threatened much in front of goal. Hazard and KDB were much better as offensive threats and keeping the ball.

Neither scored a goal today but gab is heavily criticized while lukaku got praised to the high heavens. If gab had the open spaces Belgian attacking players had this game he would be more threatening top. Tactically Martinez set his team up well and got the upper hand. But still even with tight spaces gab managed to show his flair and skill with that slick move putting the ball under vertonghen and going past him. Doubt lukaku could have done that.

Jesus has disappointed this tournament and carried on the hard working but unproductive games he has turned in for us. I love the guy and his youthful enthusiasm but am struggling to see the potential.

Fans like you don't deserve a player like Jesus.

He sacrifices his own play for the team. Running, pressing, dragging out defenders so neymar and coutinho could have space. Look at the goal against Southampton and tell me Gabriel isn't special.

Aguero isn't fit to lace Messi' s boots, but we ain't getting him or Mbappe. So stop with the comparisons.

Well said mate, what GJ brings to the table gets missed by those with little Football knowledge.

Lukaku has probably been the best player in this world cup. His brilliance at this level just shows what a cowardly shit Mourihno is, which I enjoy. Inshallah Madrid spunk half a billion on him, and he stars out there without ever doing fuck all for United.

Feel very sorry for Fernandinho but I have to say he struggled today and at times looked his age. I don’t think there is much doubt he will have a much reduced workload this coming season. Hopefully we can get the Jorginho deal done to give the guy some much needed and deserved support.
Gabby had a tough tournament. He ran a lot but got absolutely no support, especially from Neymar and Coutinho. He is definitely not the finished article but with the support and coaching he gets at City he should be a world superstar.
KDB just gets better and better. What a prize catch this guy was for us. I wonder if he’ll be back for the start of the season. He looked shagged out at the end of last season and he’s still not had a break. Although he’s a greedy bastard, Hazard is such a great player. He would look so good in sky blue in the same team as Kev. Pity, but I can’t see it happening.
Spot on. Ferd concerned me also slightly tonight and although many seem to have pencilled in jorghinio as the the one he will rotate with, I see it differently. Although jorghinio may sit deep, I don't see him screening him getting through the same kind of work as feed. Don't get me wrong he is still effective in his position, but as the season wears on I still don't see within the squad someone he can rotate with who has similar qualities. I did not think he was particularly disciplined tonight as he and pauliniho seemed to be pushing at the same time, leaving acres of space behind them.

He made pretty much the exact same play earlier in the game.

Based on the few world cup games? He is only 21. Pep and tite constantly prefers him as their starting forward. Given one is city manager the other Brazil's, and both with tremendous attacking options to choose from and yet prefers gab. I'm guessing they something in him more than you.
