Haha, I mentioned earlier I used to go in the White Hart due to it being close to my old job.

The company was based in the office block opposite, Tiviot House I think it was called, spent a fair few lunches in both of those.

Any Dublin blues on here?....if so, there was a gaff at the end of Moore St market, looked like a concrete pill box with slit windows and a large Tricolour outside...forget its name....used to wander in there sat afternoons to score my weekly fags. An old bird in the corner with a flat cap and about 50 cartons of Carrols and B&H under her skirts was the dealer.....great place. Not much of a Carte du Vin though...

I can safely say I have never been in either.

Although I did once go in The Chestergate Tavern near the bus station and that is probably just one of the roughest shit holes ever.

The Anvil was pulled down a while back mate, but you're right, it was a fuckin shithole, even when I was a kid living down the road on Haveley road it was a shithole.
