Would you swap Fernandinho/Yaya for Vidal?

Vidal is probably the most complete CM around, so it'd be silly not to. Especially seeing as he is younger than both of our guys.

That said, I wouldn't! Yes, I know. I'm silly :)

Vidal is better than both. The most complete midfielder in world football by a great margin.

Vidal tackles more than Fernandinho and he scores many goals from distance, that's the difference between the two.

It would be good if we could sell Toure to PSG for £30 million. Then we get Vidal.

Toure is one of the best deep lying playmakers in the world, but his positioning off the ball is awful, he also tends to mistime tackles and get himself booked.

I wouldn't swap Fernandinho for any midfield player in the world right now, he is our midfield and without him we would be 4th at best. Given licence he could be the King of our era. Belting player.

To be fair a lot of his goals come from penalties so it does exaggerate his scoring record. He certainly still scored more than Dinho anyway but I wonder how many goals he scores without penalties. Yaya is a better goals scorer and also brings the free kick aspect as well. But Vidal is more committed to defending and is much younger. Very tough decision. Lover Dinho. Love his flexibility and his willingness to defend. Good creative player. Plus he's Brazilian. Only negative is he doesn't score a lot. Yaya can be the most devastating offensive CM on the planet when he's in the mood. Has become one of the most devastating free kick takers as well. Maybe I just have my sky blue glasses on but I wouldn't do it. Would love to have Vidal in the side but I know Dinho and Yaya are the 2 best CM's in the PL, Vidal has been great in Seria A and internationally but there is always the risk that the PL wouldn't suit him.

So did Juan Verón.

These sort of questions always seem to get strong responses due to their very nature.
For me I'd stick with Ferno as he just does what you want for a DM/CM and he the odd AM display. The thing about him is he just fits in.

In March 1972 we replaced Wyn Davies for Rodney Marsh who was considered as one of the best players in the league. We were top of the league at the time and I'm sure many saw us as odds on after the signing, however we slumped down the league with folk feeling that it was Marshy's signing by big Mal that had caused it. It seemed unthinkable that Wyn was more of what we needed than the great Rodney at the time.

The moral of the story being, is to not mend something that isn't broken and best isn't always better.

If we were struggling I'd say yes, but because we are destroying teams then NO.

Can't believe how many of you are saying you would swap our yaya for vidal " hes the complete midfielder in the world" my arse! Most of you probably have seen him play a game or 2 at most and you are being so disrespectful towards yaya
