Yaya - a time to cash in?

Cash in on Yaya? Don't talk such absolute shite!! We've already lost an irreplaceable player in Carlos and are slowly imploding

I'd only sell if there was a guarantee of Gundogan or Vidal coming in as the replacement. Both would work brilliantly in the 2 man midfield with Fernandinho.

We have no shot at Gundogan. Why would Dortmond sell him? They lost Kagawa last year, Gotze this year and Lewendowski is on the way this year or next. If they lose anyone else they will be fighting relegation instead of CL and League title they are aiming for.

I have no idea what our chances would be with Gundogan. I'm just saying that the only way I would sell Yaya is if one of him of Vidal was the replacement. Or even Busquets.

But it's a hypothetical as we probably wouldn't be able to sign any of the 3.

The most important change which I am looking forward to seeing at City this season will be the change of tactics and formation to a more attacking 4 3 3 line-up;

RM was overly cautious and played with a very crowded mid-field, which dominated the possession numbers without producing matching numbers of shots on goal. Hopefully that will change with 4 3 3.

RM signed Nasri as a back-up to Silva, but then played them together and over-played Silva even when he was injured. That should stop now with better rotation and more options.

RM played Yaya week-in and week-out no matter how poorly he performed, making everything go through him, which slowed down many promising plays. Hopefully that will change with 4 3 3 as Yaya will have to get fit (drop 20 pounds and stop lollygagging around) and demonstrate that he is a genuine box-to-box midfielder as advertised by Barca. Somehow I doubt it, but maybe he will surprise us all. Or maybe he will be part of a rotation now with Navas and Fernandino added to the midfield ranks, and based on performance not on name alone.

I also look forward to a better blend of star players and promising younger players. I believe this will be the most noticeable improvement leading to better results and more consistency in our form.

Is this thread a wind up?
What a bizarre and stupid topic considering Yaya recently signed a new contract.

We all getting a bit bored as there's no new signings and the season is some way off so topics like this pop up.. No brainer for me he stays.. Most agree by the looks of it aswell..
