I love Yaya as a footballer, so I'm torn. Without the nonsense I'd 100% say give him a statue, he deserves it; but with the off field gob-shiting I'm not sure it is correct to do it.
If only he had shut his mouth, and got on with his high paying dream job, things would be different.
Some of his play was just sublime, truly a joy to watch. His goals were crucial to our successes as well.
OK, no statue, but a mosaic of him... somewhere off the beaten track, like on the lawnmower shed, or boiler room... that's my compromise.

That's literally what he got..
He stood there and pulled the curtain. He stood there smiling and accepting Khaldoon's most sincere words. He then turned on our coach, brought bad publicity to the club and towed that snivelling agent along for the ride - all despite being loved by us. Yaya was one supreme footballer, who did a lot for us. But he was reward financially too! I'd hazard a guess with bonuses he was one of the top paid players in the world behind Messi and Ronaldo. He benefitted just as much.

Fucking awesome footballer was our Yaya.
It’s funny because what I read is a desperate new coach devoid of opportunities regretting tarnishing his old club who have gone on to become one of the best and biggest in the world.
As with all things with yaya, it’s all about him.

Yaya scored some cracking goals for city & was an important player for the club at one time , until fitness & age caught up with him .
He was a bit of a sulker & mardarse with an horrible agent, but he will always be a part of our history.
If he ever did get a statue (highly unlikely) make sure its got him holding a birthday cake instead of a trophy lol!
