That's literally what he got..I love Yaya as a footballer, so I'm torn. Without the nonsense I'd 100% say give him a statue, he deserves it; but with the off field gob-shiting I'm not sure it is correct to do it.
If only he had shut his mouth, and got on with his high paying dream job, things would be different.
Some of his play was just sublime, truly a joy to watch. His goals were crucial to our successes as well.
OK, no statue, but a mosaic of him... somewhere off the beaten track, like on the lawnmower shed, or boiler room... that's my compromise.

Yaya Toure has written to Pep Guardiola to apologise for a 2018 interview in France Football magazine in which he accused the Manchester City manager of having a problem with black and African players. “I want to apologise for what happened, I want to apologise for doing something wrong,” Toure has said.
“When something happens that is wrong and you make a mistake, or people use your name and use you to do some wrong stuff, you have to make it OK,” Toure says. “This one was wrong. I want to apologise for what happened, I want to apologise for doing something wrong.
“We decided we would try to communicate with some important people at the club to apologise and say I’ve been indecent to the club.

There’s a fine line between accepting apology and forgiveness . I’m sure pep will accept his apology .
Absolutely this. Maybe he can come back for Dave/Kun's testimonial and Pep will have time to talk to him then. Thanks yaya, apology accepted, but were busy at the minute
Well that slipped by me... or maybe I subconsciously knew...That's literally what he got..
He stood there and pulled the curtain. He stood there smiling and accepting Khaldoon's most sincere words. He then turned on our coach, brought bad publicity to the club and towed that snivelling agent along for the ride - all despite being loved by us. Yaya was one supreme footballer, who did a lot for us. But he was reward financially too! I'd hazard a guess with bonuses he was one of the top paid players in the world behind Messi and Ronaldo. He benefitted just as much.
